Parthenope Reviews
It's very interesting, very Italian, you must understand. Art! Bravo!
Interesting story. Held my attention even with the subtitles. Beautiful locations and cast with stunning lead actress. Seemed like a love- hate-love letter to Naples.
Scenery and cinematography is gorgeous and of course so is the main character but overall by the end its just a decent enough slice of life movie. Does not offer anything new and an out of the blue pointless character is shown, youll know what Im talking about. Couldve been better if it didnt make side scenes that didnt add much to anything
There is a unique beauty in this movie I haven’t seen elsewhere.
What an utter delight.
Really disliked the movie! No direction! One of those movies where it seemed the director felt no obligation to the audience! Just throw a bunch of scenes up that he felt that he might enjoy filming for his own entertainment! Or to annoy people that took precious time and money to sit through it! I love Italy and Italians but this a pretty sad depiction of them!
It kept trying to be a good movie but just could not muster up the strength to do so. It felt like a failed attempt by some average American trying to make a European indie film by inserting disjointed random scenes and hoping that something would stick. I wanted to like it but I could not. I tried, I hoped, but it was sloppy.
no plot...disjointed movie....aside from the scenery...boring.
A dream of a movie. Shot entirely in heaven! With a prospective of hell…
An elegantly and exquisitely created film on every point. If you love film, see it. Beautifully done.
Parthen-NOPE for me. Didn't have a overall message. Didn't think the character was clever with her responses.
This film is so unique in its balance between being thought provoking & terribly sleazy
