The Pest Reviews
A hilariously irreverent comedic take on the classic novel, "A Most Dangerous Game". The Pest plays on racial and national stereotypes with jokes and impressions that span those gaps in a way that eberyone can laugh at. At the same time, it's damned near a cartoon with more plot holes than a children's show. Personally? I love it.
This movie is 10/10! I watch this movie annually and will continue to until I die.
It's a ridiculous comedy in the same vain as Ace Ventura, but it didn't resonate nearly as well with audiences at the time, and for that matter I'm not sure most audiences even knew about it. But if you like, goofy, slap stick humor, quick whit, impressions and fart jokes, the Latin Jim Carey ( John Leguizamo ) will deliver.
The pest was, and will forever be, one of those movies I will go back and watch. Period. The premise is hilarious, the acting is great, and the overall vibe is something i wish could get a sequel too! Idk if that sentence makes sense fully hahahaha
Rarely has a film been less funny.
This movie made me laugh as a kid. I hope this movie gets recognized by the Gen z and I hope they like it.
It's a genius comedic classic in same vein of Jerry Lewis, 3 stooges, or Jim Carey. Top 10 movie from my adolescence. Gotta enjoy a funnyman trying to get his side hustle on while alway hustling everyone and everything lol
Please.....leguizamo....shut up. The racism killed the movie already.......
Crass and offensive without two brain cells to rub together. Did they have a checklist of stereotypes to go down? Was there a script? Was this just bad improve? I have no idea.
I think these criticisms are so lush in their texts and in sulachar script, actors, in short, the film is bad yes, but it is so bad, it is very good, no wonder I still watch it from time to time to give some good laughs when the day sucks, so even a job so poorly done, it can do people good, so, 5 stars for me, before just criticizing, what best have you done? Time to clean the dirty sheet on the bed.
I think that it was a alright movie but I have not seen this in many years. I would watch this movie again I remember years ago someone brought this movie in to watch on free time I didn't know what to think I'd watch this movie again it was alright but John L. was kinda annoying but it was alright passed the time very 90's silly comedy movie.
Absolutely terrible, but I love it. First watched this when I was around 12 and thought it was the funniest thing ever, rewatched it again a few years ago and while it doesn't age that well, and some jokes definitely fall flat, I still laughed quite a bit at most of the movie. It will always have a special place in my heart.
The Pest has a good idea and having an unforgettable, yet infamous, opening scene but John Leguizamo's obnoxious, unlikable lead character and most appalling racial stereotypes this side of North make this a comedy that will result in the definitive question for a bad movie: "Just who the hell was this movie made for?"
It was so... so obnoxious. The title of the movie was a fair warning. I can't write an in depth review because it was so irritating, I could not get through it. Does the box office take refunds into account? I'm genuinely curious.
It's bad. It really is. But, it is so bad it, it is fantastic. If you're a 90s fan of irreverent comedy, The Pest is a must see. So bad, so good.
