Based on J. M. Barrie's novel "Peter and Wendy" and inspired by the 1953 animated classic, "Peter Pan & Wendy" is the timeless tale of a young girl who, defying her parents' wishes to attend boarding school, travels with her two younger brothers to the magical Neverland. There is swashbuckling and the ticking crocodile and Smee, but the narrative always feels perfunctory and inert possibly because there’s just no spark between any of the characters, least of all Wendy and Peter, who is portrayed as a sulky kind of chap.

David Lowery is typically a visionary writer/director, but Peter Pan & Wendy is oddly bland. It's not bad, but the magic & whimsy of the source material is largely absent, which is again bizarre since his remake of Pete's Dragon was absolutely wonderful!

Absolutely the worst live action ever made by Disney. Bland, dull, soulless and tasteless. The chances to create a great live action where there. So many wonderful scenes from the original that would have sparked on the screen! But nahh Disney rather not spend a penny and just absolutely vomits over a fan favorite. Making it a sort of twilight movie / H&M commercial . I absolutely disgust this movie and wouldn’t mind it they completely remove it from existence. What where they thinking….
