Bill Goodykoontz Arizona Republic The movie has its moments (some of the songs are fun, as always), but like Plankton’s efforts at taking over the world, it’s ultimately a disappointment. Rated: 2/5 Mar 8, 2025 Full Review Calum Baker Radio Times SpongeBob Squarepants's diminutive nemesis, Sheldon J Plankton, gets a musical spin-off feature that starts well but runs out of nautical nonsense by the final act. Rated: 2/5 Apr 1, 2025 Full Review Shawn Edwards Fox 4 Kansas City The premise is actually just zany enough to be fun. Rated: 3/5 Mar 20, 2025 Full Review Cole Groth FandomWire This spinoff perfectly represents SpongeBob SquarePants’ lowly state combined with the weak quality of Netflix’s catalog. Rated: 5/10 Mar 18, 2025 Full Review Mat Brunet AniMat's Review (YouTube) Plankton may not have the secret formula to a great movie, but his love for his wife is just enough to make this visit to Bikini Bottom worth it. Rated: 6/10 Mar 14, 2025 Full Review Jennifer Green Common Sense Media This series spin-off has a built-in audience for its beloved characters as well as some positive themes, but the evil robot plot could overwhelm the youngest (and annoy the oldest) audiences. Tyler S It was alright. Originally, I thought the plot started out good, but kinda went all over the place after. Had some laughs, and the visuals were pretty fun. The movie just felt like a long drawn out cut scene from a video game. Rated 2.5 out of 5 stars 04/23/25 Full Review Ryan P this movies plot is a bit confusing, but it’s actually a pretty good watch. it’s leagues better then the shitfest that was sponge on the run and the sandy movie. kids will like it, it’s pretty fun. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/13/25 Full Review Audience Member It's awesome, loved the songs. I totally jammed out! 🎶💃🕺Well done Nickelodeon! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/07/25 Full Review the funny g it is THE plankton movie of all time Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/05/25 Full Review Audience Member cuz im plankton!!!!!!! Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/03/25 Full Review Destiny C its amazing. I cried at the end of the movie, I'm not lying, it was so amazing and refreshing to see a giant mechanic monster take over bikini bottom, unable to be defeated by just one person. I don't understand why people don't enjoy the movie. I had my hopes down but I was so surprised when I finished the movie. absolutely amazing, and I hope they make even more SpongeBob movies.
