This is literally the worst movie. The peoples designs are just really weird and I don’t like anything at all in the movie the only scene in the movie, which was really fun was the hot chocolate scene.

The Christmas classic that either terrifies you or fills you with childlike wonder…or both. This movie is very imaginative and creative, especially as it is mostly taken place on a single train. The characters are all fun, the train is pure chaos, the message is beautiful, the animation even more so, and the music is to match it all. And, even though 70% of the film is Tom Hanks, the cast is absolutely amazing. This is one of the best Christmas movies of all time by a long shot, and there’s good reason for that. It is brilliant, self-aware, and full of magic, wonder, and beauty. A movie for those who still want to believe.

Tom Hanks does a lot of great voice work and the visuals are amazing.

The Polar Express is a visually stunning holiday film (give or take some eerie facial features on some of the characters) with dark and light themes throughout. Directed by Robert Zemeckis, this animated classic follows a young boy’s journey to the North Pole as he faces weariness in his own belief of Santa Claus. The film's groundbreaking motion-capture technology brings an ethereal quality to its characters, though some of the animation has a slightly creepy effect. Tom Hanks stars in multiple roles, imbuing the story with warmth and versatility. While this film wasn't an instant classic when it was released in 2004, I think it's safe to say it surely is 20 years later, despite it's oddities.

A nostalgic Christmas classic! Sure the animation might not be well but it’s from the 2000s. It’s not gonna look phenomenal, but the music, and the look of the movie is so unreal in a good way. It’s very beautiful and the story is really good to. This would always get me into the Christmas spirit no matter what. I recommend this

Watched for the 1st time on Christmas Day 2024… can’t believe I haven’t seen it before…Instant classic… Now in my top 3 favorite Christmas Movies all time!

It's ALMOST good in my opinion. It's so close. The editing and pacing aren't bad and everything else is pretty solid about it but the problems start to show in the second half. The first half is definetly stronger and has an adventure like thrill ride. But the problems here are numerous. The animation is cool and going for like a animated 50's Coca-Cola Christmas Ad in motion which works pretty well for everything except the faces which look...I don't know kind of weird and off. I don't know how else to describe it,the faces just look off. If that wasn't a issue it would help a lot. The music is nice and fits the Christmas theme but it also feels over the top at times and it's every Christmas melody you've ever heard before in a sense too. The voice acting is good but there isn't much depth to the actual characters and some can be a bit annoying. The quiet kid honestly I don't know what the point of his character is. Biggest problem though is it feels like stuff just happens at points but it's entertaining stuff. The train on the ice is easily the best part. But once they arrive at the North Pole it just drags quite a bit for 15-20 minutes. That whole part feels forgettable and pointless especially and just drags. The message of Faith and Believe is every other Christmas movies message also and doesn't set it apart. But yeah I feel like if you too that 15-20 minute part out, and half of the stuff that happens in the first half not much changes really. It's a cool idea but it needed a better script, better facial animation, and probably a more unique message to boot to set it apart. If your a big fan of any actors in this or Christmas flicks than maybe check this out. Most could skip this and stick with the better Christmas flicks.

It’s really grown on me over the years. Very sweet film about the Christmas spirit, entertaining, and visually stunning. I resonate with the film much more as an adult than I did 20 years ago as a young adult.

Your heart must be frozen if you find fault with this movie. It's spectacular and a visual classic. I guess some people will never hear that bell.

Polar Express is my childhood favorite Christmas movie I love watching this every single December it's very magical adventurous and so much more tom Hanks gave a phenomenal and memorable performance in it 10/10 👏

I was 5 years old when I saw the Polar Express on a projector in class. I loved it! And even now as a 17 year old, I still watch it every Christmas for lack of nostalgia. While the animation is kind of creepy and it doesn't compare to Elf or Home Alone, to me it has a special message to it that not many Christmas movies tell anymore. I cry every time I watch it and you best believe that I sing along when "Hot, Hot, Hot, Hot Chocolate" comes on. I plan on showing this movie to my future kids because for me this movie will always have a special place in my heart.

The story line is fine, but the animation is nothing short of horrifying. Extreme uncanny valley effect. I understand why this is a classic for many people but I struggled through it.

The animation is the major thing that makes me dislike this film, if you can’t make it so the children don’t look terrifying, don’t make it. Story is alright overall I think but some not really needed and makes it a bit less magical than youd hope it would be.

Fantastic animation and Tom Hanks as the hobo, the conductor and Santa all in one. I need a live action movie of this. Top 5 favorite Christmas movies of all time. 10/10 EPIC FANTASTIC

Just watched Polar Express IMAX 4DX. It was WAS SOOOO FUN!!!! Please bring it back!!! The theater really came alive at times. What an experience!! Glacier Gulch!!!! Again, please bring it back and give us more options than just the one showing so we can get around family work schedules to enjoy with the entire family!!! So awesome.
