The discovery of a clue to mankind's origins on Earth leads a team of explorers to the darkest parts of the universe. Two brilliant young scientists lead the expedition. Shaw (Noomi Rapace) hopes that they will meet a race of benevolent, godlike beings who will in some way verify her religious beliefs, while Holloway (Logan Marshall-Green) is out to debunk any spiritual notions. This has been my favorite movie from the Alien franchise since Aliens. It's more science fiction than horror; but of course Ridley Scott still keeps his thrills and some horrific scenes intact. It makes you think; which I guess is why some people had a problem with it. Overall it's extremely entertaining with a relatable, down-to-Earth cast headlined by Noomi Rapace. This is the ONLY film in the franchise of which I own the physical copy of. I never get tired of watching this.

Bad accoustics, difficult to hear the script. Scenes dark and hard to focus, jumped around alot. Alien squid creatures already done to death. Never figured out the connection of the first scene. Sorry.
