Last Blood is a great ending to an absolutely fantastic franchise (we can ignore Rambo 3). While not Quite having Stallone's directoral spark it's honestly still a good film with some absolutely hardcore and even hard to watch brutal scenes. It's definitely the most violent Rambo installment and has some really great special effects. I think Stallone's Rambo franchise slightly beats The Terminator Franchise because the last two films (from The Terminator Franchise) are absolutely terrible, Rambo films are going to be amazing for a midweek film slump where I need a short action film. In a way it almost feels like a Western but honestly for what it is it's very good as it's own thing (hard to explain).

Overall, *Rambo (2008)* feels like a rehashing of familiar tropes without adding anything new or compelling to the franchise. It's a bloody, forgettable skirmish that fails to leave a lasting impact. If you're a die-hard Rambo fan, you might find some enjoyment in this film. Otherwise, it's skippable.

Epically horrible film. Screenplay is a disaster and the whole premise is contrived garbage. No excuses here. This is possibly one of the worst films ever made. Do not waste your time.

One of the best Rambo movies. The ending is beautiful revenge on the cartel. that ending never gets old and repeat viewings.

He best action hero ever delivers again. The film itself would have got 3.5 stars however, the 4 minute scene with The Doors Five To One playing was some of the best 4 minutes I’ve ever seen. Extremely satisfying after a long days work.

Action is very fun to watch. Great movie all around! Me and my grandfather enjoyed very much. Don’t listen to the loser critics.

Okay effort from Stallone. There is more dialog for Rambo than in all the other Rambo movies combined, which is part of the problem. Directing is decent. The graphic violence is somewhat of a downer. Storyline is predictable, but watchable. Ending is somewhat open ended.

Set appropriate expectations for this film. This is not going to be the legacy sequel that changes the game. This is not "Top Gun: Maverick" or "Mad Max: Fury Road". Or a spiritual sequel that changes the game like "Unforgiven" or "Gran Torino". Think of this more like a "Taken 3" or "Die Hard 5". If you keep those expectations in mind, this is a fine time. The story feels like it was a script that had been gathering dust in a Hollywood vault for decades. Then the studio hastily slapped Rambo's name on it to give it a boost in the box office. I respect the fact that, similar to "Rocky", the Rambo franchise has a diverse library of entries. "First Blood" has a very different feel than "Rambo: First Blood Part 2" and the 4th movie, "Rambo" feels different than any of the others. But "Last Blood" does very little to separate this film from being just a generic "Taken" clone. Rambo makes decisions that do not gel with what the master of guerilla warfare would do. The way he begins this movie does not seem to correlate with what we've seen from Rambo. He has settled down and become a surrogate father figure for a high school graduate. I'm not saying that Rambo can't progress between movies, but this start does not feel like a natural starting point for this movie. OK, so the movie does not "feel" much like a Rambo film. The story is very bare bones, it runs at about 88 minutes long. But of that runtime, 30 minutes of it is devoted to the setup. Rambo does not begin to Rambo until about 45 minutes in. I may sound that I am being pretty hard on this movie, it is only because I am such a big fan of the character, and I know that Stallone can make great sequels. But this movie ain't no "Creed".

Stallone has made great movies every decade for the last six decades, and this continues the streak. However it is absolutely disgusting, very gory.

One of the best Rambo movies hands down. Really good story, and as always, Sly Stallone delivers ☝️

If you like revenge movies you'll love this one. I can see why the critics hated it but the audience loved it. That usually means it's worth watching.

Great end to an awesome series. If you grew up with Rambo, then you will appreciate this one.
