Beatrice Loayza New York Times "Roh" succeeds as a spine-tingling baffler, hitting at nerves we can't quite articulate but feel all the same. Jun 3, 2022 Full Review Michael Gingold Rue Morgue Magazine It will appeal to those curious about the international horror scene and fans of slow-burn, atmospheric terror, even if it doesn't add up to much storywise. Logan D A mother and her two children are tormented by entities human and spiritual. An atmospheric slow burn built upon Islamic lore. The isolation of the family within the jungles of Malaysia adds to the deepening dread the envelops them. Some rough edges but I look forward to more from Ezwan. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 04/15/25 Full Review jackie r Interesting film with an unexpected twist. Would recommend if you want to broaden your horror movie repertoire. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 02/08/24 Full Review Viva V It's kinda boring because nothing is really happening Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 11/15/23 Full Review Audience Member With many Malaysian horror movies that revolve around idea of the main character falling in love with the ghost, Roh stands out with its unique plot and creepy atmosphere inspired by Malay folktales. Felt a little bit too short though, could use a couple extra minutes to iron out the details. Overall, a good horror movie on the same level as Munafik. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 01/31/23 Full Review Audience Member It leaves you wondering what's around the bend or just behind a stand of trees, but it also feels as though it could have contained more when it comes to the folklore. Not a bad movie, but it did feel as though it needed a little more to it. Rated 3 out of 5 stars 01/21/23 Full Review Audience Member A Malaysian folktale horror that took place in the wood. This was quite a creepy atmosphere due to the slow-pace and secluded area. The first half really unnerved me but also kept me interested in the mystery. However, towards the end I just realized how convoluted the story was. Maybe it's just me, but it shouldn't be this confusing. Overall, it's still a creepy one. 6.5/10 Rated 3 out of 5 stars 02/06/23 Full Review Read all reviews
