Jonathan (Chris Klein) is the most popular player in the fastest and most extreme sport of all time: rollerball. It was pretty good considering it is a victim of its time. Made and released during the "united we stand" era; it was the wrong time to push for social commentary and thus it was cut. It is a product of what audiences wanted in 2002, that is, pyrotechnics, pretty people, strongmen, and loud music.

Slick early 2000s costumes and set design. Over the top "extreme" action, and raunchy jokes, as well as violence. This is perfect for those looking to have some fun, back before fun was outlawed by the conservative far left.

A mess. There were a handful of creative choices that were compelling, but it much of the story just zipped around the track aimlessly. It was if they had a tried and true recipe for a biting deconstuction of "corporations have too much power and will attempt to win at all costs" narrative (which is what the original movie captures), but this was mostly fluff. Not even bad enough to be enjoyable. And yes, I have the How Did This Get Made folks to thank/blame for sitting through it.
