Rush Hour 2 Reviews
Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker make a great duo. Tucker's comedic style complements Chan's more serious demeanor, creating a well-balanced tone throughout the movie. The stunts are nicely choreographed, delivering satisfying martial arts action. Additionally, the head of the criminal syndicate is portrayed as a cool and smooth operator. Overall, this sequel is fun, entertaining, and a joyride.
They dialed up the sensuality quite a bit from the first one. But the stunts are still fantastic, it's still funny, and has an uplifting ending for our duo.
Rush Hour 2" is a fantastic sequel that truly keeps the magic alive. Watching it, I couldn't help but feel nostalgic for an era when movies like this were the norm. The chemistry between Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker is unbeatable—it's like they were born to be on screen together. What stood out for me was how the movie balanced action and comedy so effortlessly. The humor felt sharper this time around, probably because their dynamic was already so well-established from the first film. While the action scenes didn’t disappoint—Jackie Chan's stunts are always a treat—I found the added layer of cultural exploration in Hong Kong refreshing and fun. It’s rare for a sequel to hold its own against an original, but "Rush Hour 2" nails it. It's hilarious, action-packed, and a blast from start to finish. Definitely one of those movies I could rewatch endlessly!
I think this might be better than the first film. If you liked one, you must watch 2.
Rush Hour 2 continues the electrifying chemistry between Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, delivering a hilarious and entertaining sequel that, in my opinion, levels itself with the first film. The story is decent and provides a satisfying continuation. Grading: B+
Actually liked this one better than the first! It’s more funnier and has a lot more action. Plus, I like this one’s plot a little more.
Entertaining and hilarious than the first but feels rush (no pun intended).
Amazing movie ! They don't make movies like this anymore . 01/9/2025
Great sequel although it has less gags.
Just as good as the first one super hilarious and awesome.
This is a test, not serious!
Just like in the first installment, some things don’t make sense, but that’s what makes this franchise what it is. Rush Hour 2 is even better than its predecessor, mainly because of the improved comedy, especially that Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker already go so well together, in addition to the delightful appearance by Roselyn Sanchez.
does its job very well just not as good as the first one.
Just like its predecessor it does well in terms of comedy.
One of the best comedy movie series of all time, with the 2nd being the best of the 3
This was hilarious, better than the first imo
It's good I'd recommend it. Fun movie.
Building on the successful formula of its predecessor, "Rush Hour 2" takes everything that fans loved about the first film and elevates it to new heights. Reuniting the charismatic duo of Jackie Chan and Chris Tucker, this sequel sees Inspector Lee and Detective Carter embroiled in an international crime caper involving a deadly counterfeiting scheme. The film cleverly reverses the fish-out-of-water scenario, placing Tucker's character in unfamiliar territory in Hong Kong, leading to hilarious situations and cultural misunderstandings. The action sequences are more elaborate and inventive, showcasing Chan's agility and creativity in new and thrilling ways. The addition of new characters, played by the likes of Zhang Ziyi, adds a fresh dynamic to the film's engaging plot. "Rush Hour 2" is a standout sequel that captures the spirit of buddy-cop comedies with its non-stop action, comedy, and the undeniable chemistry between its leads.
