The Santa Clause Reviews
A half baked christmas classic that survives on its lighthearted gags and small approach to its story.
The film is good for a couple of laughs.
It's not necessarily what is told but how it's told that keeps this movie and the talents within it from going to waste. Tim Allen's lack of experience on the widescreen is frankly irrelevant - he does just great. The script is nothing we haven't seen before but for some reason, they keep you interested. Kids still love this movie, despite 1994 now being more than a generation ago. This isn't Miracle on 34th Street, but it's not Jim Carrey's superfluous Grinch retelling, either. It's not quite as clever as Elf, but there would not have been an Elf without this one. So... watch it, especially if you have run out of other stuff to keep the kids happy.
Directed by John Pasquin and starring Tim Allen who was known for his role in Home Improvement, the Santa Clause is a decent and fun Christmas film that is filled with charm for all audiences.
Worth introducing to your kid, but probably not a yearly must.
Soul crushing stupidity. I'm legitimately triggered by how dumb this film is.
A lovely heart-warming story about a father and his son coming together and becoming closer. (Sound like a storyline I'd like?) Obviously a win for me.
It’s a Christmas classic!
Hilarious. A fun time watching this flick.
It's a bit overhyped for me, but not without it's fun.
Great nostalgia! Great Tim Allen comedy with a good story!
good, I just wish there was Hitler Santa.
An absurdly ridiculous story that somehow succeeds—probably Allen’s best performance.
Alta gilada. Le hace caca la cabeza a lo pibe
Tim Allen does a fantastic job in Christmas films. This one can kind of start off boring and slow - but by the time he's jolly ole' saint Nick - it can have memorable scenes and even shed a tear. Looking forward to watching all the other Clause films and series. This movie by itself? Not a classic in the top 20.
A very underrated Christmas movie with a ton of heart. Lets just not talk about its terrible sequels.
One of our family favorites!
I mean in the grand scheme of things this is terrible, pacing off, many plot holes, some questionable acting. I just can’t help but love it though.
This Christmas movie was great. Tim Allen, Judge Reinhold, Eric Lloyd, Wendy Crewson, David Krumholtz, and the rest of the cast did a great job in this movie. The story of the movie was entertaining and humorous. It's about becoming Santa Claus and making your family happy even if they think you're crazy. If you haven't seen this movie yet, check it out sometime. It's a great movie for an entire family.
