Saw III Reviews
so sigma PEAK PEAK PEAK PEAK PEAK PEAK #1 JEFF DEFENDER
Solid movie. It's not as good as Saw I & II, but it is still a pretty good film. While killing off John Kramer is something I'm sure will have repercussions in the future, it worked here. Anyways, onto the movie! It's not perfect, there's flaws. It's like the Return of the Jedi of Saw films: it's not on the same level as the other 2, but it's still part of the trilogy. Besides, it's still a great film. It'd be a great finale if it wasn't for the ending scene having a cliffhanger. But I'll come to terms with that eventually. Also this finished off Amanda's arc, essentially. She became too arrogant and died. So yea, this is decent but the worst of the trilogy. My favourite trap in this movie was the Rack. It's terrifying to imagine going through: your arms slowly twisting one by one and then the dread of certain death as your head begins to twist. It's a great concept. Overall, solid movie. Next up, Saw IV! Which is apparently set at the same time as Saw III. Wonder how that'll work.
This triology has been something else and it has been such a unpredictable story to follow. There is so much suspense with these movies and so many twists that make the movie ten times better. Saw 3 opens up with Eric Matthews chained up in the bathroom and he breaks his foot to get out. It is revealed later that Amanda ends up taking his life and that is against Jhons' rules of the game. The two targets were connected and it had to do with two separated lovers that were reunited at the end of the movie. Lynn was a doctor and she was kidnapped by Amanda to keep Jhon alive long enough for another character Jeff to beat his course. Lynn had a collar around her neck that was connected to Jhons' heart rate and if Jhon were to die, Lynn would die as well. Jeff was in a separate course in which he had to go through three obstacles to get revenge on the people that were associated with his sons death. He manages to beat the course and he saves the Judge on the second one, but the Judge ends up dying to a shotgun blast in the last obstacle. Jeff lets the actual killer die in a twisting trap, which broke all of the bones in his body and the only way to save him was with a key. Any weight administerd to the key would trigger a shotgun blast and the shotgun blast ended up killing the Judge. Jeff gets out and comes across a gun with a note saying last chance. While this is going on, Lynn preforms a dangerous surgery to remove the pressure that Jhons' brain is putting on his skull. Surgery goes well and since Jeff beat his course, Jhon asked Amanda to unlock Lynns' collar to let her go. Amanda refuses and soon ends up killing Lynn by shooting her in the stomach. They dug deeper into the lore of Amanda, and it was revealed that she killed Adam by suffocating him with a bag. Jeff stumbles across a room with his gun and he is met with his wife Lynn falling into his arms in which he shoots Amanda in the neck. Jeff and Lynn being together was such a huge twist, and I was not expecting this at all. Jhon reveals that he was testing Amanda and that she failed him a lot of time. Jhon asked Jeff to play a game in order to save Lynns' life and Jeff ends up failing. Jhon asked for Jeff to kill him or to forgive him and Jeff chose to kill him. This was Jhons' plan all along because Jeff did not know that the two were linked with each other. Jeff kills him and Lynn ends up dying in which Jhon tells him that Jeffs' daughter is kidnapped with limited air. The movie ends with Jeff screaming and Jhon slowly dying. I love the lore that is explained in the saw movies, because even in Saw 3 they are still explaining unseen stuff that happend in Saw 1. Overall, I had a great time watching this movie and the Saw movies are just so unpredictable.
While It does kill off it's main character it answers all questions of the previous films and raises some more. The traps are better than ever and has extraordinary acting.
Definitely not one of the best movies in the franchise.
Watched this movie so much.
I love this film. While it's not the greatest Saw film, I've seen it a bunch but it doesn't get worse no matter how frequently you see it.
A disappointing finale to the John Kramer trilogy
A movie that kinda wastes the potential of Jigsaw 1st apprentice that ends with a messy story that is later fixed in the sequels.
Everything is a test and John just keeps outsmarting everybody. Damn, the ending was crazy nobody ever survives JigSaw but him... I love how they explained Amanda's story jigsaw always knew she couldn't finish the job
While a great movie overall, the only problem is that the main character Jeff moved too slowly or waited too long and always ended up predictably letting the people die in the trap on accident. Other than that, the gore is even better and the side plot with John Kramer and the medical drama along with it is another reason to watch this movie.
Definitely not one of the best in the franchise, but her torture was definitely one of the best, and her plot improved quite a bit over the second film.
not the greatest out of the movies
Didn't like the MC but overall is a good movie
The strongest thus far in the Saw franchise. The twists, the moral conundrums, and the horrific torture scenes combine brilliantly to leave you on the edge of your seat… and occasionally jumping behind it to hide.
No bites On this tomato 🍅
This third chapter had no atmosphere of suspense and synthetic character. The plot went out of rhythm and the acting atmosphere was indecent. This John Kramer represents the symbol of salvation and obstacles, with a little goodness. I have never liked Amanda because of her strong, unpleasant and murderous character. The only thing I liked about this film are the flashbacks, which talks about how Amanda became the discreet and ruthless part of John Kramer. This movie has a slow and boring intro of random people dying and the ending disappointed me. The only thing I liked about the film are the traps which definitely surpass the second film. I liked the angel trap, ditto for the rib cage one.
I give this movie a 8.0!!
Now what to add for Saw lll it's great in every way better than the Saw ll but all the Saw movies linking together, it's not just a horror franchise it's a masterpiece among Batman and more, we need movies like that (my opinion i wish Texas Chainsaw Massacre & Saw could go on forever) but this days we get barbie 🤣🤬😤
