Shut In Reviews
The twist was way too obvious and ineffective. The constant waking from night terrors sequences became redundant. It had some minorly entertaining suspense in the third act. All the main actors including Watts, Platt and Heaton were good, but it couldn't save much of the film.
This was a very poorly written plot. The story line was dull and the ending was quite honestly just terrible. Talk about being an unfit mother. Oliver Platt was the only actor worth watching.
Very disturbing. Would not recommend watching
THis movie is an excuse for this chick to hate her son?
if you love thriller books, you're gonna love this movie. It's not a slow start in the beginning, it puts you through a rollercoaster of emotions and makes you guess what could be going on the entire time, just to be surprised in the end with the huge plot twist. I loved it, I wouldn't call it a horror movie, but a thriller. It was so well written when it comes to making you guess what could be going on, just to shock you in the end, that I thought it was based off of a book.
trying to watch but horrible acting-no idea what this is about.....
Really dumb movie. I had to fast forward through spots. The whole premise that her son would pretend to be paralyzed was ridiculous and then that he would become a killer added insult to injury. I'll watch to the end but it's a total waste of my time.
The great cast and the incredible performances are not able to save this movie from a poorly organized script and confusing storytelling. My rating: 5/10
I think it's pretty obvious the critic ratings are low because of the association with Ben Shapiro. Great film.
Great to have a movie just be a good movie and not push some virtue signaling from the worst scum in the universe (liberals)
If you want to watch something a-bit different from the Normal this was a Interesting take on a person struggling with inner Demons and with strength and perseverance all things are possible! I would recommend a watch Acting was Great!
Anyone who claims to not like this movie clearly didn't watch it. It was riveting, kept me at the edge of my seat and the story was fantastic. I'd give it 10 stars if I could!
Tough story to tell - appreciated the realistic consequences surrounding drug use. Glad the good gal won in the end!
Rats! Meant to rate the new Daily Wire movie "Shut In" which premiered tonight! The New movie was great ... no idea about this movie from numerous years ago ...
Raccoons are the new "cats rain from the sky and lands on protagonist" in this snooze fest Naomi Watts "thriller". *Sigh* This poor woman deserves better. I'm counting down the days until her big Hallmark Christmas movie debut. Anyways, *Spoiler Alert* The kid from Stranger Things pulls a Lloyd (Dumb & Dumber) and pretends to be in a catatonic state which I suppose isn't hard for any teenager to do. The underrated Oliver Platt shows up to crash his car and get killed a là Dick Halloran in the Shining but much less dramatic. There's another kid who spends the whole movie hiding in a closet which is what Naomi Watts should've done when it was time to film this.
It wasn't a scary movie. It was more of a thriller movie. They had a house designed to kill sex offenders. It was interesting, how she started operating the house for her self defense when those men got into her home and tried to steal from her. That food deliverer shouldn't have opened his mouth about the money.
I'm in the middle of watching this movie right now and I'm looking it up on rotten tomatoes....that should tell you something
