I gave it two stars on because I'll watch anything with Keanu but this was so slow that at one point I fastforwaded just to see what happened. An then NOTHING! Sad Sad Sad Movie. He must have been doing someone a favor.

Oof. I randomly watched this movie on Paramount + just to pass the time during some mindless work and wow, was it bad. It felt like it was 4 hours long. And not in a "Lord of the Rings" good or epic way. I did actually watch until the end and simply had to ask, "Okay, what was the point of that?" There is no good answer! What a waste of Keanu Reeves. I'm surprised he took this role. It's a very bland, unlikeable and meaningless character. And it's not like the acting was overtly bad. KR was adequate and everyone else was fine. But the story was just so convoluted, senseless and boring.

Completely confusing I lost track of where the fake and real diamonds were.

I lazily put on this film over the weekend, decided to google some reviews whilst waiting for it to start... The reviews said Serbia was dreadful, and I almost stopped the film! But, I'm really glad I didn't. The slow pace of Serbia was actually really engaging and effective, and a good match for this type of movie. We're so used to constant 'life and death' situations that the softer, more human parts of character and plot development really suffer. In a lot of ways, the plot clumsily plodded along, but this worked quite well as the driving force of the sloppiness wasn't in the writing, but more in the intense love interest - it felt relatable as a sudden lust/love causes rationality to go out the window. There's a great chemistry in the romance. Reeve's character is far less 'superhuman' in this role. Imperfect. Less Capable, Immoral at times even. It's makes for a refreshing change to the John Wick badassery we all know and love As for the bad: Yes - the bad guys in this film are quite 2 dimensional, which is the main critique I have for the Russian gangsters. But this also gives more room for the relationship and the rippling impacts to breathe. I'm glad they focussed on that over character development for the antagonist. I even think reflecting that love is the main conflict point / antagonist in Serbia - like how fate can take sinister turns when distracted by lust. Loved the ending too - I wont spoil it, but it doesn't wrap every story thread up in a neat bow, you're left guessing what happens next. Watch it and make your own mind up - if you enjoy slower paced films then great, just don't expect another John Wick-style affair...

Garbage trash movie.

Good production quality for an aimless and thoroughly disappointing movie. It keeps making you think something is going to happen, it struggles to build up some tension for the end, then just flops down and dies and leaves you thinking "....Well that was dumb". Tries to be a romance, tries to be a drama, tries to be a thriller, ultimately isn't any of these things. This movie feels like all the cut filler of a better movie.

Forgettable and boring.

Slow moving, only made it about 30 min in, terrible dialogue and porno sex scenes. This movie is trash.

the worst Keaunu Reeves movie ever. Slow paced with a plot that makes no sense at all and with an ending that felt more like a relief that the movie was over and we could move on to something better. A dark stain on the otherwise so colorfull and wonderfull carreer of Keaunu Reeves. What a shame

I came to this movie by accident, i had 0 expectations but i was intrigued by the fact that Keanu was in the cast. I liked it, not a masterpiece but well acted and a nice ending.

Could have been a good movie. Good characters and acting but the story is just okay and a dumb ending. Save your time and watch something else.

Esta película ofrece una historia sobre tráfico de diamantes que podría haber funcionado bien, ya sea como película de acción o suspenso, pero al final es un film bastante denso, con demasiado peso dramático y falta de argumentos para rellenar los agujeros, haciendo que sea una película confusa, difícil de entender y hasta aburrida. Aunque la tensión sexual de los protagonistas podría haber sido algo bueno, las escenas eróticas se sienten forzadas e innecesarias. Incluso la escena de doble sexo oral puede llegar a sentirse incómoda. Por más que se ponga atención, es difícil de entender y hay que leer la sinopsis para entender que rayos sucede. El guion es bastante flojo y carece de sentido y emoción y hasta no tiene una muy buena dirección, ya que la película parece no saber exactamente hacia donde ir. Los diálogos son pobres y no explican mucho. El concepto del tráfico y la mafia rusa está bueno, pero está muy mal planteado y mal desarrollado. Lo aplaudible es la crudeza que tiene y como trata de contar algo real, pero tristemente no lo logra. Algo que si se puede apreciar es la participación de Keanu Reeves, que al menos le da algo de vida al film. Lamentablemente, es una mala película cuya única ventaja es tener a un buen actor como protagonista. Al menos la confrontación final fue algo más o menos aceptable, pero con un final insatisfactorio. En conclusión, Siberia es una de las peores películas de Keanu Reeves que tenía una trama interesante, pero fue mal hecha, así que no sorprende que tenga tantos comentarios negativos. Mi nota para esta película es un 4/10.

You keep waiting for something to happen and then it's over. Nothing makes sense, there is no plot to anything and it's incredibly slow and infuriatingly bland.

A movie that focused more on a love story over the much more interesting got to find my partner and some diamonds before bad people kill me story.

This is the type of film you expect at a mediocre film festival where the film direct thinks a stylistic choice and a vague high ideal can carry an entire story with no plot. Typically Keanu Reeves is a stamp of approval on any film he's in, but by the end of this one I wondered what was going through his head when he read the script. There is no real need or goal of the character other than money so when roadblocks get in his way it feels difficult to be invested in the plot. It's not like Keanu's character's downfall his due to a fatal flaw in his character rather the failure is forced upon by outside sources failing to create a character or theme for the audience to latch on to. Ana Ularu is a gorgeous woman and a great actress but none of that can save her character. She and Keanu Reeves have zero chemistry on screen. Each time he looks at her he appears uncomfortable. As her character plays the long game of trying to appear better than Keanu's wife to prove she deserves his love it comes across as pathetic as she is the one who initiated the relationship knowing he had a wife. It makes her seem idiotic and ignorant of reality. The ending was uninspired and left the viewer wondering what else they could have spent those two hours doing. The setting was stunning and the use of multiple languages at least made listening to the film interesting. Disclaimer: As one who dislikes sexual scenes, I did skip all four of them.
