Keith Nelson (Eric Stoltz), an artsy high school outcast, tries to land a date with popular girl Amanda Jones (Lea Thompson) with some help from his tomboy best friend, Watts (Mary Stuart Masterson). However, his advances draw the ire of Amanda's snobby ex-boyfriend, Hardy Jenns (Craig Sheffer), who makes plans to get even. Matters are further complicated when Watts realizes she likes Keith as more than just a friend and tries to convince him to stop pursuing Amanda.

Pretty In Pink redux, somehow done better (the Stoltz, Masterson, Thompson trio felt more grounded) and even more amazing... the soundtrack is better. Lick the Tins, the March Violets, and the unbelievable Brillian Mind by Furniture. The music alone makes this movie a four star flick.

Filme fraco, o roteiro é fraco, o filme tentou fazer um drama de relacionamento pra quem o cara quer namorar, ele poderia escolher a garota que ele gostava ou a garota que ele queria ser amigo, no final ele deixou a garota que ele gostava de lado e ficou com sua amiga, a história foi fraca, o filme não deu certo a história de relacionamento com drama, com tudo isso, eu não recomendo esse filme e não vale a pena assistir.

You know what you are getting here ... there are no twists and turns, other than maybe you should think about your priorities and what you REALLY need in life. Masterson's character is super cute, although maybe a bit overdone. Hughes really had a thing for teen melodrama to the point that in the 80s it was almost its own genera.
