3.5 stars. A real whodunit-style mystery for Ellery Queen to solve, even though it is against his will since he's on vacation. Donald Cook gives a good characterization of the debonair playboy from the series. I love whodunit movies and judge them by how well they fool me. This film scored well in that aspect. The bodies were piling up so fast I was running out of suspects. That should have been a clue to who the killer was. Anything else I say will be a spoiler alert. It is worth a watch!
