The scores here are appalling. This movie is a glorious rom-com w early Chris Pratt and Topher Grace and this amazing cast just bringing it. Couldn’t love it more.

I really wanted this to be good. I loved everyone in it. But it's was just...crap..

Filme mais ou menos, o roteiro é mais ou menos, esse filme meio que mostra um pouco dos anos 80, de dois amigos matt e barry, que um deles levou a irmã wendy, para uma festa que não aconteceu quase nada, teve mais diálogos românticos do que cenas boas, Barry fudeu na festa e apanhou nela e o matt também transou na festa e no final matt entra na esfera de metal e saiu rolando rua abaixo e caiu em uma piscina e sai vivo, de resto um filme que não tem quase nada de bom, poucas cenas boas, e a trilha sonora meio que salvou o filme, e Eu não recomendo esse filme, não vale a pena assistir.

Another crappy movie based on a good song. Blue nail polish is very fashion forward.

While this movie is not going to win an Oscar , there is a sweetness to it in terms of life not working out the way you planned and then an opportunity presents itself…..you can then either let it sail past you or say f it ….let’s ride the wave and see where we land. For me that’s what makes this movie, plus the 80s nostalgia.

Recent MIT grad Matt Franklin (Topher Grace) should be well on his way to a successful career at a Fortune 500 company, but instead, he rebels against maturity by taking a job at a video store. Matt rethinks his position when his unrequited high-school crush, Tori (Teresa Palmer), walks in and invites him to an end-of-summer party. With the help of his twin sister (Anna Faris) and his best friend (Dan Fogler), Matt hatches a plan to change the course of his life.

This movie was so much better then the reviews say on this site. It has a stacked Cast, A great story about finding your place in this crazy world, And the 80s backdrop was the icing on the cake.

The elements of an 80s nostalgia rom com are all there... and yet... it doesn't quite gel. I think this comes down to this movie is shallow and pointless at its heart. Grace, while I don't think he is a bad actor, has a snarky understated presence that just comes off as unlikeable. The friend is an amoral moron. The sister and her problems are at best pointless rich people problems. And the love interest... oh dear lord. Aside from the horrible Lucas-style love dialogue, she comes across as a gold digging alpha-chaser. Maybe this movie is for all the fraternity and sorority jerks that can't find love no matter how much of an asshole they are?

I thought this film is a very good time. Perfect? No but being a teenager in the mid to late 80's it brings great memories from this era in time. Great music, mall shopping and good times with friends. A great watch!!!

It was a bit awkward getting started. I was debating turning it off about 30 minutes in, but then it started picking up. Is it original or different? No. The characters get more likeable as it goes on and the situations and performances are funny enough to carry it along. Dan Fogler as the best friend is hilarious. I laughed quite a bit.

Not funny or fun. Fake "zaniness". Gen Z humor=awkward and stupid. The cast and soundtrack couldn't redeem this poorly written dungheep of a flick.

Your average "losers are winners and winners are losers" story, nerd hero gets the girl and all... People traumatized by the USA high school experience might enjoy it. I only watched it for Anna Faris and was really disappointed

This movie does not deserve the hate it receives. It's a fun ride set in the 80's. It's lighthearted, funny, and has some great actors. If you like 80's party movies, this one will be enjoyable to you. If you're looking for something deeper, look elsewhere.

I loved this movie its actually one of the best films I've seen from the 2010s. I am surprised its so underrated. Would like to see a reboot :)

I liked it. It had some great moments, and a great message. Topher Grace was right for the part he played, and Dan Fogler cracked me up.
