Michael C "The Thing That Couldn't Die" worth seeing just once because it does have some good points. One of those such good points is its cast. Hardly the best acting jobs I have seen, but they do well enough in their respective roles. The late William Reynolds and Carolyn Kearny for example. Another good point is the main storyline. Again, not fantastic but compelling enough to see the movie from start to finish. Overall however, "The Thing That Couldn't Die" is just another throwaway forgettable horror movie. While I have seen worse movies, I have seen much better movies too. Rated 2 out of 5 stars 04/21/25 Full Review CodyZamboni Z Cheap production, Not scary, With lame fx, As 400 year old severed head hypnotizes folks into doing nasty things, And it turns virginal nice women into rude tramps, And the abrupt, way too easy ending, didn’t help much. Movie is notable for a decapitation that got by the 1950s censors, And pair of attractive women, who spend a lot of the movie running around in revealing night gowns, Rated 2 out of 5 stars 03/09/25 Full Review Ted B 1.5 stars; This movie is so bad, it cannot even qualify as a cult classic, à la "Plan 9 from Outer Space". I would comment on the acting if I could find any. The plot was so bad, throwing in a little T&A couldn't even save it. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 03/09/25 Full Review Dallas H I find it strange when a woman doesn't scream or panic when she sees a floating head outside her window. Instead, she calmly closes the lace shade and continues her daily life as if nothing odd occurred. Also, this movie would be great as a double feature marathon with The Brain That Wouldn't Die (1962) Rated 3 out of 5 stars 03/09/25 Full Review Elvis P M I can only recommend this film for fans of movies so bad it's bleech Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 03/09/25 Full Review Audience Member 1958â??s The Thing that Couldnâ??t Die was part of this brief outpouring of eccentricity, combining psychic powers, Satanism, and an evil, living mummy head into a flick that is simply too weird to turn away from.
