Audrey W I really enjoyed this film, excellent photography, editing and colour grading. Scary as hell, kept me on the edge of my seat. The lead actress was very easy on the eye too. Great performances. Highly recommend. It goes to show what you can do with small budgets. Films like this are a testament to quality micro-budgets and proves good acting, pacing and story makes it possible for any filmmaker to achieve great heights if you plan correctly. Reminiscent of 'The Ring' and 'The Hills Have Eyes'. And if you're a fan of occult movies then this is one to watch out for also. Really looking forward to see what this tram comes up with next! Boldly written and directed by Joshua Sowden, who masterfully combined a dark narrative with unexpected humor. The grainy cinematic effects of the film greatly enhances its horror and suspense vibe. The sound design is exquisite. The film includes truly terrifying moments and makes the audience question whether they are witnessing reality or hallucination. The protagonist Victoria tangles with a legendary Witch to in a quest for eternal life. However, as we all know all dark magic have their consequences. "The Book of the Witch" offers a cool and edgy horror film experience. Ali Williams is excellent as the terrifying witch and villain. Smitha is perfect as Victoria, displaying both vulnerability and determination with ease. I would highly recommend this movie for horror fans.
