Loved every second of this. Feels so nostalgic, like something I’d have watched in the 90’s as a kid. Excellent writing and enthralling stories done very well.

Poor, avoid, must be meant for a young audience, even so, the stories were poorly written,and barely made sense

Funny yet gut-wrenching; nostalgic; there aren't enough adjectives. The Mortuary Collection is the best anthology movie I have ever seen. The opening montage alone deserves an award.

Great horror film parodying other similar genre horror films & to great effect. Great performances all around. Surprisingly very good actually - Moody & nicely scary.

There were some amusing moments, but it's pretty hamfisted with the morality.

(I'm Mistletoe Virus I'm saying I like this movie!) Fans of Tales from the Crypt will enjoy this anthology which is very entertaining n beautifully shot. The mortuary collection is a satisfying choice for the spooky!

I went to the movies with my family to watch it and all four of us hated it. We weren't the only ones. People literally stood up and left half way through and honestly, I wanted to as well.

Der Leichenbestatter Montgomery Dark (Clancy Brown) erzählt der jungen Frau Sam (Caitlin Fisher), welche sich für eine Stelle bewirbt, die Geschichten von toten Menschen, wie sie gestorben sind. Es sind insgesamt vier Geschichten, die hier erzählt werden. Die erste Geschichte wird sehr schnell erzählt und findet nur auf einer Toilette statt. Die zweite Geschichte ist die längste der vier und ist vor allem Anfang sehr unangenehm. Die Geschichte wirkt wie eine klischeehafte und unlustige Teenagerkomödie. Als der Student plötzlich schwanger wird, wird die Geschichte interessanter und das Ende dieser Geschichte fand ich heftig. Generell kann man sagen, dass die Geschichten immer ein heftiges Ende haben. Die dritte Geschichte fand ich eigentlich am interessantesten, aber es ist nichts Besonderes passiert. Die Fahrstuhlszene, wo er seine Hochzeit noch einmal sieht, fand ich aber gut gefilmt. Die letzte Geschichte wirke wie eine schlechte Kopie von Michael Myers. Den Twist hatte ich jedoch nicht erwartet und dieser hat mir gefallen. Was mich aber stört, ist, dass das Schauspiel nicht besonders gut und ist meistens durchschnittlich und klischeehaft. Die Geschichten bauen nicht wirklich aufeinander, was ich schön gefunden hätte. Clancy Brown (bekannt als Originalsprecher von Mr. Krabs) ist der beste Darsteller im Film und spielt den gruseligen Leichenbestatter sehr überzeugend. Der Film wirkt so, als ob eine Serie in einen Film umgesetzt wurde. Eine Serie hätte besser gepasst und hätte mehr tiefe den Charakteren gegeben und eine interessante Story. Am Ende kann man sagen, dass The Mortuary okay ist, mehr aber auch nicht. Das Schauspiel ist nicht überragenden, einige Effekte sehen gut aus, aber auch einige richtig miss. Der Film traut sich auch einiges, was ich erst einmal gut finde, vor allem traut sich die Kamera und Schnittarbeit. Den Film kann man einmal gut gucken, wenn man einen eher trashigen Film schauen möchte. 6/10

Great collection of short films. Thoroughly enjoyed. If you have any idea what this is, you'll probably enjoy it.

This is a new classic for me that I will watch every year around Halloween. It's a fresh take on anthology horror movies and does a lot with little budget. Tons of fun if you're a fan of horror!

Creepshow-like collection of short stories bound together by a mortician relaying the stories to an aspiring apprentice. I found the mortician and his apprentice to be the most interesting of the stories, and the ending is what saved it.

A fun anthology with enjoyable plot twists, shock and heart. Stumbled across this while searching for something in the vain of Trick r' treat or horror with a retro-feel, and was pleasantly suprised.

The stories were unusual, funny, and crazy.

It had it moments and I liked the overall style of the movie. However it relied too much on gore and being gross rather than horror. It's an anthology format where four stories are told. The first three are rather dull and the last one comes with a really forced, stupid twist that makes little sense even upon re-watching.

I totally loved the way short stories were told during this movie, as well as the multiple plot twists, definitively a movie that I'd recommend.

A bit of dark, horrific fun. Complete with entertaining outcomes and graphic, cringy imagery.

The first two stories are boring and predictable, causing a strong urge to fast forward. The movie gets better after that, but never gets as dark or brutal as it could be.

I want a sequel!!!! with less flashing lights!!!!
