The Outrun Reviews
Great nature film-ography amazing geography well shared. Good story and primary character: very relatable root cause to issues, stumbles, and finding a new strength and new direction. Worthwhile to see on a BIG Screen!
The acting was intense and on point. The story was stirring
I like SR but this is an over played topic true or not. This one was nothing special.
This was very ok for me. Saoirse Ronan had a really good performance, but thats pretty typical. It was just a bit slow, a bit boring, but not bad, just a little uninteresting.
Kind of meandering and too obtuse
The acting was incredible especially Ronan. She was fantastic and deserves an Oscar. You understand the power of addiction and how it affects everyone nvolved.
Superb acting and great memoir. Saorise is everything!
Heavy on the imagery light on the storyline. Great acting by Saoirse Ronan, but the material was heavy and relentless, and the disjointed timeline made it hard to follow the progression of events.
It was an intense movie...could be triggering for someone newly sober. The videography angles and scenery were incredible! The way it bounced back and forth kind of confused the timeline of her journey, though. Definitely worth a watch, and definitely worthy of the big screen with the music and stunning ocean views.
Very good performance from the main actress whose name I don't know how to spell.
Dragging and choppy! Probably to show the disjointed nature of an alcoholic, but there is barely enough to hold your attention.
Was interesting, a slice of life movie about an alcoholic who is trying. Jumps around to show the life of an alcoholic but its easy to follow. Youve seen this story before but its still good to see it, with beautiful scenery and it shows how we all have a journey in our lives.
Horrible subject matter- complete waste of time- Our World is ON FIRE- WE NEED TO BE ENTERTAINED NOT TAKEN ON A NIGHTMARE RIDE- WE HAVE THAT EVERY DAY FOR FREE- This movie will not even make back the Capitol it spent to make! Sad truly Sad
A realistic movie about addiction, family mental illness and how one finds some peace in their life. Its also a beautiful movie with majestic shots of the Orkney Islands. Great performances, especially by Saoirse.
Hauntingly beautiful.
Good performance at the center. Confusing narrative
Very imaginative and great acting. Loved seeing the Orkneys, too.
Best movie in a long time. Great performance by Sairise Ronan . Beautiful natural landscapes.
A tour de force performance by the always amazing Saiorse Ronan and her supporting cast. Gorgeous scenery.
Saoirse Ronan adds another brilliant star turn to her portfolio in this nonlinear tale of mental illness & addiction
