Yes I did watch this movie in 2024 but not the point, I just feel like the couple could’ve died a lot different like different deaths because for the both of them just having a knife in their back and twisting it’s not really as interesting but it was a good movie overall and I enjoyed it!

This movie is almost as much as an insult as "The Strangers: Prey". Lackluster and all too Strange for me.

Strangers was good. Definitely had good scenes where the killers just popped up which was good. Little parts get you mad , like the typically scary movie. I got upset at the guy a lot in the movie. I can’t stand the other things that were happening. I would recommend this movie.

This movie had good writing and good script except it lacked the chilling suspension of the first strangers other than that the movie was good plot was solid and yeah it had decent jumpscares.

Hopeless filmmaking. Pointless. Nonsensical. Inept. It only gets half a star because it made me laugh (unintentionally) throughout.

I love home invasion horrors, but they’re often predictable. The Strangers: Chapter 1 kept me on edge the entire time. The tension is relentless, and Madelaine Petsch gives a raw, believable performance that made me root for her every second. It felt gritty and real in a way most slashers don’t. Definitely one of the better entries in this genre.

Sayang oras. Nawala un intense nung una. Walang hatak din dahil di kilala un mga casts. Hinahanap ko siguro un star factor ni Liv Tyler. Nakakadisappoint din un to be continued eme nya. Mas mainam pa na ulitin ko na lang uli panuorin un 2008 original.

A reboot not necessary. It felt like a Friday 13 with less killing and more masked killers. I don't know what they are up to, being the first chapter, but they better cancel it. It's atrocious. The original one was much better, even though still not scary.

Wow - can I get my 1.5 hour back? Not sure why we even remade the original. This was tough to watch.

what a wasted opportunity

If you like movies where there are two characters, one consistently cries during every scene, makes noises/whimpers and screws up their face to really give it that "all out amazing performance" when they really need to be quiet as the bad guys could hear you and maybe... ya know... kill you? well this movie is right up your street. The worst part about it is that she (who I refer to above) forces her poor decisions onto the both of them leading to most of what unfolds which is all highly predictable from the start. That said, she is not alone. The male character is equally bad. He just waits awhile before he starts letting his poor decision making and bad acting come into it. Such as, the killer is in the house, he is OBVIOUSLY going to come and attempt to kill or harm you. What is his brightest idea ? lets go sit in a room and wait for him to come in when there's a perfectly good escape route THE WINDOW right there. Or better yet, lets NOT drive the car that I finally have access to with keys in hand. lets sit there and wait for something bad to happen.... This movie was very rage enducing and I have to say. I will not be watching the future "Chapters".

This is just a failure movie

¿Esto es un remake? Porque me dio la sensación que era un remake. Bueno no importa, mucho mejor que la segunda (Prey at Night) pero a años luz de la del 2008. Mas de suspenso que de otra cosa, buen ritmo y te atrapa. Me iba a dejar chocho pero lamentablemente la escena post crédito casi la arruina, desearía que no la hubiesen incluido. Sacando eso, simple pero cumplidora.

What’s supposed to be the start of a new trilogy based on a already lukewarm franchise is an dull home invasion movie that has surprisingly weak direction from Renny Harlin (5 Days of War, Burn Notice)

I would recommend you watch the original The Strangers (2008) and The Strangers: Prey at Night (2018) instead of this annoying pile of a movie.

Awful. In every way. And PAINFULLY dull.
