The Transporter Refueled Reviews

Apr 17, 2025

Just one big ad. Predictable, inane and tacky all wrapped up with bad acting and product placement at every opportunity. The biggest tragedy is that they attached it to the transporter franchise.

Definitely awesome And true to the original movie series

First rule: never change the transporter

The plot is kinda repetitive, "dad got kidnapped twice", frank martin fighting with yeah you guessed, more Russian mafia members, there are lesbian scenes that i personally don't like and i m sure that there are many people that will be disgusted by those AND THERE IS NO JASON STATHAM SO IT'S NOT A REAL TRANSPORTER MOVIE FOR ME.

entertaining but 1 star off because the 'so called' experienced dad got kidnapped twice

First of all what is a transporter movie without Jason?! Apart from that it is so ridiculously far fetched it's not enjoyable

Transport me back to before the movie started so I can get my time back. The lead actor has as much talent as a Bag of quavers.

Dynamic movies need dynamic characters and three dimensional actors crafting a good script. This film is all gloss veneering and none of the above. Plus a mumbling lead actor trying to do Clint Eastwood grinds from the minute he enters the film. Shame. They needed a better script and Statham. But late night beers and a pizza might justify watching it. Alone.

Barely decent, it benefits from the effective action but not from the presence of Ed Skrein, who has the unenviable task of taking over from Jason Statham: instead of the latter's charisma, all we get is a pretentious gravelly voice. As for the story, it's an unoriginal and insultingly superficial cliche collage, and Besson is now officially a repeat offender in the micro-genre of films all about guys (preferably assholes but not too much) rescuing trafficked women, and ideally boning them too.

The greatest 01 hour: and 31 minutes ever!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Its story isn't bad but it fails to work because it so badly misses the series' star and any compelling fight scenes.

One of the worst action movies of the 2010's, newcomer Ed Skrein tries his best as Jason Statham's successor and Ray Stevenson does a decent job as Frank Martin's dad but action sequences that, while not terrible, are a major step down from the original trilogy which were essentially martial arts movies in disguise, a weak story, production values that look outright cheap at times, cases where I strongly suspect that dialogue was dubbed over due to how haphazard it sounds and occurs when characters' faces conveniently aren't facing the camera and the Transporter being left out of focus in his own movie make Refueled a genuine misfire. At least Taken 3 had a good performance from Liam Neeson and a decent, if cliched, set-up despite its issues with editing and dialogue, among other things. All The Transporter Refueled has is slightly better ass-kicking. At least Ed Skrein would redeem himself with Deadpool a few months later. Given the choice between this movie and the also-terrible Die Hard 5, I would take A Good Day in a heartbeat. Did I mention this movie sucks...a LOT?

Apart from a few hilariously fun action sequences this franchise thankfully has run out of gas no pun intended

These girls are terrible!

First, I didn't even know that this whole "The Transporter" a movie series was. The movie felt like a weirdly assorted fast & furious knock off. I liked the main character, Frank, though. The actor kind of did fit the character. The movie was simple and foreseeable & if I was his father, I would've ran away. Just the fact that the man has been kidnapped twice in under 24h was ridiculous.

Bad acting, bad script, just bad. What were they thinking. Lots of action to cover up a bad movie.

I really likes It!!!! Great movie!!!!💓

Ed Skrein is no substitute, but given what you expect to see from the series I don't think this disappoints too much. Yes the story is poor - but the car chases and fights fit the bill.

It might be one of the better advertisements/commercials for the large Audi sedan. Also, if you wanted to know how to drive through an airport terminal or what happens when a police car runs into baggage trailers on the tarmac, this is the film for you.

I thought Skrein did a pretty good job with what he was given (which wasn't much). He kind of growls Statham-y through the film, and flexes his muscles and makes bad choices, just like Jason Statham did. You can buy that it is the same character. That said, the rest of this movie is just so much road kill. There is an inchoate revenge plot against, I don't know, some Russian mobster (Russian mobsters being the go to bad guys these days because, I don't know, racism?) Anyway, the group of hookers Transporter has to help is double dealing and takes dad prisoner (everyone in this film takes dad prisoner - it makes you want to be an orphan). They are NOT sympathetic at all, and Transporter isn't THAT much better. There are some double dealings and decent car chases, but you KNOW how this ends. All I can say is - better than some of those Fast and Furious flicks. Eessh.
