I don't know what all the hate is about, it's a children's movie. I enjoyed it as a child and I am now in my 30s and it randomly popped up on YouTube free to watch so I watched the entire movie and loved it again.

I just watched this movie. I loved it. The pacing rhythm and timing were all perfect. High marks for camera shots and editing. I enjoyed the music in this movie. All of the actors were great in this movie, including the lead actress, Shelley Long. This movie even subtly implied themes like how men and women need eathother and how sometimes kids get caught in the crossfire of adults trying vindicate themselves. So much to like in this movie.

This is one of the best films to come out of the 1900’s, but only if you like hilarious, low-key inappropriate, relevant (especially for its time), and cult quality films. Whom-so-ever posted these low score reviews are full of rotten egg f*rts.

Great cute comedy for kids! Watched it over and over again as a child. Silly fun about just being kind. Shelley Long is great! She should have never have left our screens!

Having seen this movie several times, I have enjoyed it a great deal with each viewing. It is not only cute and quite amusing, it really shows off Shelley Long's comedic skills. She was terrific on "Cheers" and she is equally good here. The low score from the critics truly surprises me; Don't cheat yourself out of some really good laughs. This is a heartwarming and delightful comedy.

My 5-stars is mainly based on nostalgia. It's honestly a 3-star movie at best. But, it just brings a smile to my face every time I watch it and the laughs still hold up some 35-odd years later.

Shitty movie with and shitty plot and a even shittier, dare a say DREADFUL, cast!

Look. I know this movie isn't A+ comedy. It holds a special and nostalgic place in my heart. It's silly, campy and 80s. Worth a watch if you want something like that.

Childhood favorite :-).

Such a fun movie! I saw in theaters as a young girl. It inspired my career as a diamond grader. Wish they made movies like this now.

American Classic. Simple sweet and satisfying Shelly Long has such an amazing screen presence in this movie, such a sunny personality given to the role with great comedic timing . Itâ(TM)s why it is so easy to remember the name Phillis Neffler

Bad cringe 80s movie.

The Tomatometer is busted. The people who reviewed it were not the intended audience. I give it 4 stars for it being a fun comedic romp and full of nostalgia for me.

A group of rich girls with many vain attempts to earn merit and honor from shopping and doing what rich people do. Only funny because it's ridiculous. Rating: 7/10
