Siddhant Adlakha Variety Soap opera-like in delivery, yet emotionally sanitized, Tyler Perry’s Prime drama “Duplicity” is a languorous affair. It’s a strange-looking, odd-feeling film that gestures toward mystery and larger conspiracy, but it seldom pulls on these threads. Mar 24, 2025 Full Review Jennifer Green Common Sense Media The largely Black cast members are styled as attractive but exaggerated archetypes (the dogged lawyer, the bad cop, the likeable news anchor, the investigative reporter, and so on), and their performances are overstated too. Apr 2, 2025 Full Review Korey Coleman Double Toasted The majority of Tyler Perry's Duplicity is dull and forgettable. The last act becomes a different movie that is insane. Mar 31, 2025 Full Review Joseph Robinson Fish Jelly Films (YouTube) Tyler Perry bolsters his filmography with yet another barrage of dumb characters doing nonsensical things while drowning in an inane narrative that takes entirely too long to arrive at its ridiculous conclusion. Rated: 0.5/5 Mar 21, 2025 Full Review Nicholas Bell Fish Jelly Films (YouTube) Despite a title featuring a potential Freudian slip, Tyler Perry's Duplicity is yet another nonsensical, inane, instantly forgettable time suck from a filmmaker who disdains films with this latest rush job so arrogantly vapid Perry doesn't seem to.... Rated: .5/5 Mar 21, 2025 Full Review Jonathon Wilson Ready Steady Cut The most charitable thing I’m willing to say about Tyler Perry’s Duplicity is that it probably won’t end up being the worst movie of the year. (ENGLISH) Not every movie has to change your life, but some can’t even keep you awake. Duplicity is one of those. It tries to sell itself as a thought-provoking thriller, but all it delivers is a series of flat, soulless scenes that fail to engage or move you. The overall feeling is like watching one of those lazy Sunday afternoon 온라인카지노추천 movies, but without the unintentional charm they sometimes have. Everything here is dull, predictable, and poorly executed. The script lacks punch, and the actors don’t seem to believe a word they’re saying. Sure, there are plot twists, but they arrive either too late or too clumsily, and instead of surprising, they confuse—or worse, bore. If someone recommends this film to you, be suspicious: either they have really strange taste, or they secretly dislike you. It's hard to find anything redeemable here. Even being generous, it barely qualifies as background noise. And that’s if you have a fever and can’t find the remote. In short, one of those films you forget before the credits even finish rolling. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/08/25 Full Review Diego R Muy malita, predecible, aburrida, la abogada nunca quitĂł su tono de querer parecer todo Ă©pico, no la vean Rated 1 out of 5 stars 04/29/25 Full Review Bonnie Z Really a great movie. Lots of twists and turns. Was not ready for the ending. I highly recommend seeing this movie. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/22/25 Full Review A318Mem T Actors were mediocre but the script tells you WHO the killer is from day one! Too many scenes unbelievable such as attorney and boyfriend parked right out in clear plain view with no other houses around right in view of the killer's house and killer "just happens to drive up right in front of them"; this well known attorney REPRESENTING the wife who's had tv press conferences shows up at a seedy hotel to meet journalists and none of them have NO cover with all kinds of people outside the hotel; attorney goes to the restroom in killer's house and runs in heels clunking on marble floor, rambles through drawers are if no one is home making all kinds of noise and then hides phone in her scantily clad pant set of which once knocked out, NO ONE FEELS THE PHONE AS SHE IS CARRIED 100 FEET to a boat....not to mention the attorney is thrown UNDERWATER "WITH A WEIGHT" forever and a day to get herself untied from CHAINS AND A WEIGHT to swim onto the boat and shoot a flame gun into the 3 killers and they NOT hear her🤦🏻‍♂️and the unbelievable scenes go on and on). Tyler needs to spend more money and GET SOME EXPERIENCED WRITERS! His ONLY movie I liked was "Acrimony" and that was mostly to Taraji Henson playing the heck outta her part. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/21/25 Full Review island c The quote from Marley Wells, our films protagonist states “How a person does one thing, is how they do everything.” Director, writer, and producer Tyler Perry gave an apt description of the work he produces these days – formulaic cash grabs. Gone are the days when he dared to put minimal effort into the art he produces, instead he settles for low hanging fruit. He knows it’ll be consumed regardless. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 04/20/25 Full Review Gin Z What a joke. Pure s**t. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 04/17/25 Full Review Read all reviews
