Sandra Hall Sydney Morning Herald It's a clever film. And for all Soderbergh's reservations about Hollywood, it's also confirmation of his mastery of its assorted genres, although he does suffer from an urge to see if he can juggle them all at the same time. Rated: 3.5/5 •  Apr 27, 2018 Full Review David Stratton The Australian Yes, Unsane is rather silly - but thriller lovers can have fun with it. Rated: 3.5/5 •  Apr 20, 2018 Full Review

Audience Member Bravo! Bravo! Ok, despite impossible plot holes mostly only noticed by someone who's crazy= this movie was one of the most original films I've seen in a very long time. I give very few 5's but this just made it. Foy was about as perfect as you could play the part= totally NAILED IT! Now, if you want to keep reading my review- 1. You would never be admitted either forceably or voluntarily for past incidences of suicidal ideation. It would be illegal for them to do that. 2. Though psych wards DO have some anonymity how they operate, they are heavily monitored to avoid incidence's from happening there. 3. You'd never go to a psych ward for a drug problem. If the drug you are on makes you act crazy- they'd only hold you until you were sober from it and you'd never do a drug treatment in a psych ward. 4. Though common areas at common times are Co-Ed= you'd never sleep in the same room with any chick unless it was a huge room that everyone was in and next to the monitor's. 5. You are always monitored. This isn't jail where they check on you periodically, they have eyes on you the whole time AND 6. There is always more then 1 person there- Always. I've seen 2 many times but often much more then that. 7. There is no solitary confinement in a basement setting. They DO put you in a room by yourself if you are acting out but this is always a part of the larger structure that houses everyone. 8. You'd never be able to turn off a monitor w/o it being noticed and fixed when noticed, it';s not just for your safety but for the attendants safety too, they don't want to get sued for anything. 9. How would the killer know she was A= going to go to that facility/ B. Know she was going to be involuntarily committed? Impossible unless he can see into the future. Ok, that's most of the stuff- I spent a few years in and out of psych wards in a few different cities when I was first diagnosed w/ schizophrenia so I know the protocol from a few different places and they are pretty much the same across the board. That being said, if you are not crazy, all of these premise points wouldn't have been noticed by a laymen thus adding to the realism of the movie. Still, I applaud your efforts- the story was awesome and the acting of Foy and all the rest was exceptional and, once again, in a world of blah, blah, blah= this was ORIGINAL! THANK YOU. Rated 5 out of 5 stars 04/28/25 Full Review Rrobert G Super movie. Better than One Flew Over the Cuckoos Nest. Much more realistic. As good as Shutter Island. It's not B grade it is A grade Rated 5 out of 5 stars 11/02/24 Full Review
