We Broke Up Reviews
Even though you'll think it's a comedy, it is not. It is a pretty deep, thoughtful and "shit happens" movie. There's a lot to think of after watching it
Very minor romcom, without much com, but nice enough drama.
The characters were not engaging enough to care.
I was really looking forward to this one, but it wasn't as funny nor as poignant as I had hoped for.
Enjoyed this movie. But there needed to be more time spent on making us want them to be together. Too many sad faces. And almost nothing was explained for the initial cause of the breakup, a few more words or explaining why would have gotten me more invested in understanding. But like I said, worth watching.
This movie was awful. The groom was the only entertaining character. The plot was too simplistic to be enjoyable. In fact, it may have well ended in the first 10 minutes because nothing new was revealed. I do not recommend.
Not what I expected. Simple, has funny moments. But thought provoking. I liked it.
87%😄 They have incredible chemistry that really makes their 10 year relationship feel lived in, which makes this film impossible not to watch.
Major misuse of Sarah
Such a funny, grounded, bittersweet movie. My wife and I were cracking up and it even managed to pull on the ol’ heartstrings a few times. An indie rom com about the complexities of long term love with a stellar cast and charm to spare!
We Broke Up is your typical indie romantic comedy/drama elevated by its cast. William Jackson Harper and Aya Cash made a great leading duo, and had great chemistry together. Sarah Bolger and Tony Cavalero also were very memorable in their roles. The film itself is pretty predictable. It hits every cliche in the book, although the ending was very effective. The film has a very amicable tone, which makes it an easy watch. Overall, I liked this well enough. It’s a fine watch and it’s super quick. If you like the stars and you wanna watch something that’s very low key I definitely recommend this.
Very entertaining. Enjoyed the real life turmoil of the lead characters and their actions given the situation versus the true love of the supporting characters and their reaffirmation of love. Good and unexpected laughs. Characters that stay with you.
very slow, boring movie. Don't waste your time.
