We Live in Time Reviews

Apr 28, 2025

Tobias is too good of a person in contrast to Almut. The whole plot relies on a sympathetic portrayal of Almut, so the uneven relationship was distracting.

The only thing that works in this movie are the performances by Andrew Garfield and Florence Pugh. Everything else doesn't. It should've been opted for a 온라인카지노추천 movie or Netflix film instead, because shares similar vibes to those kinds of movies.

It was a great movie, until the non-ending. Though a bit hard to follow timeline-wise, it was well acted and interesting. However, stopping short of resolution, like so many movies these days, made me feel like I wasted two hours of time.

Can't believe 2 big marvel stars were in this film I kinda do want to see a Romantic chemistry between Andrew and Florence in the MCU but I doubt it

Good Sad movie. Easy to see both sides of the coin in this one which I enjoy.

What a beautiful film about life. It captures the struggles and the highs, the conflict and the resolution, the very things that give life its pulse. Two brilliant actors, super moving and affecting. The screenplay does such a great job of showing their flaws, their humanity, their feelings. It's relatable and real. The score is also excellent. It's a very touching movie.

Abuse, and moving film. The acting was Pitch Perfect and turned a simple storyline to something special.

We are taken on a journey through of life as well as a journey of love watching the two throughout this movie navigate living as well as loving. Watching the events of this movie unfold while knowing the limited time they are given reminds us all how lucky we are to have the time and the opportunity that we have on this Earth no matter how long or short it may be. It also reminds us to live each day to its fullest potential and as if it is our last. Love while you can, live while you can, and love to live. It is also an important reminder of priorities and to never lose sight of what or who is most important. It becomes easier to fall victim to this, especially among the chaos of it all. Almut's love for Tobias and vice versa is a wonderful example of what it means to love someone else and give everything to them while still remembering to keep some for yourself. One could argue this (as well as communication) are the most important factors in a relationship. Death is among the most difficult things to cope with, most especially the death of loved one. It has been shown in a multitude of ways throughout the course of cinema. Loving someone is a sacrifice and in the case of this movie, to Tobias, because he lives everyday knowing it could be the last one with the person he loves the most, but nonetheless, it is a sacrifice he chooses to make up until the end. Even after the loved one is gone it does not mean that the love is gone, not in the slightest, the love as well as the presence is carried on in many different ways. The love Tobias has for Almut will remain in him as well as through their daughter Ella (name twin) and will continue to remain with them for the rest of time their lives.

Florence Pugh and Andrew Garfield are two of the most likeable actors on the planet right now, so seeing them smile, cry, argue and love each other completely sucked me in and I was emotionally invested for the whole thing.

I like the non-linear story telling.

I enjoyed this movie. It was a little slow and I believed they could’ve just kept to a regular timeline in the movie. I like the realism of the movie because love isn’t always perfect or fair. This was also my first time seeing Florence P. in a movie and she did really well and is beautiful. I would recommend this movie.

I really liked this movie. Sometimes it seemed a little slow and drawn out, but a great story!

This romance movie was great. Andrew Garfield, Florence Pugh, Lee Braithwaite, Grace Delaney, and the rest of the cast did a great job in this movie. The story of the movie was dramatic and tragic. It's about always staying together in good times and bad no matter what. If you haven't seen this movie yet, check it out sometime. It's a great movie for couples.

This movie is a very moving one, involving a great cast of people like Florence Pugh & Andrew Garfield with their great acting. It had its funny moments & serious tones of the couples seperate issues. Of course, the movie ending was rather sad, especially when we are left with just Tobias & Ella going home, making the 🥚 recipe taught by Almut (who became a 👩‍🍳 after being a ⛸️), declaring that she had lost her battle with cancer & 💀. In addition, those ♀️♂️ scenes were taken more appropriately & beautifully unlike A24s "👶👧". You know, I would want to try out how Almut made her 🥚 recipes some day.

A heart-breaking, at times uplifting, hopeful and thought-provoking examination of a relationship - but more than that, the complexity of our dreams and desires as humans. Our pursuit of contentment, happiness and greatness - and the distance between what we think this looks like and what it actually is! Told in a non-linear fashion ... once you adjust to this it helps to add texture.

This maybe one the best movies A24 has ever made I really enjoy this a lot it you will try to fight back tears with this one & Andrew , Florence delivered in every way possible this doesn't disappoint!

We Live in Time is a deeply modest film that is felt throughout the entirety of its production. An infinitesimally small circumstance where actors, writers, and directors are met with a divinely human piece about grief they capture almost candidly without interruption. John Crowley & Nick Payne takes a familiar lens to that of Johannes Vermeer, placing emphasis in the beauty of mundanity and the slow cadence of grief through every shot, stripping it away of its grandiosity with comedic beats and an unentirely forthright plot progression. Andrew Garfield & Florence Pugh provide an enigmatically dynamic performance that sifts through the specificities of human emotion throughout the different stages of grief and its suspension.
