C.H. Newell Father Son Holy Gore Modern science, rural v. city politics, and a drop of superstitious fantasy come together for a partly found footage horror nightmare with werewolves. Rated: 4/5 May 6, 2019 Full Review Matt Donato We Got This Covered While Wer stumbles a bit out of the gate, a fiercely wild werewolf story eventually takes over that enters genre areas previously unexplored by horror filmmakers, resulting in an ambitious payoff that redefines how we see werewolves. Alan W SPOILERS: 'Wer' is definitely a fresh take on a genre full of stale replays. The first half of the movie is solid and engaging, with an interesting subplot. Loping toward the climax, however, becomes increasingly tiring and unsatisfying. A half-hearted shape-shifting scene never actually results in a man-wolf. Characters fall into plot holes, and seem to forget previous motivations. And then the audience has to slog through the obligatory bad monster/good monster battle scene--complete with slo-mo body slinging and melodramatic primal screams that don't frighten. The final few minutes go a long way toward redeeming this flick, but don't quite earn it the 'werewolf' tag. More like 'Bad dog!' Rated 3 out of 5 stars 04/13/25 Full Review Todd H Not scary , but a cool point of view: a legitimate investigation of a werewolf attack. It’s kind of like when you always wonder what you would do if you were turned into a werewolf, then you watch this and go… ugh! I’m in real trouble here! Enjoyable and fun! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 01/20/25 Full Review David L Cool take on the trite werewolf story. Very entertaining horror movie. Not really scary but lots of fun and some really cool death scenes. Takes a while to build to the action but you aren’t bored while you are waiting because the story is good. But when the action does hit, grab your popcorn and get ready for the ride. Rated 4 out of 5 stars 11/01/24 Full Review Nelson C Ruim de doer, como a maioria dos filmes da Netflix.
