Westworld is a futuristic theme park where paying guests can pretend to be gunslingers in an artificial Wild West populated by androids. After paying a sizable entrance fee, Blane (James Brolin) and Martin (Richard Benjamin) are determined to unwind by hitting the saloons and shooting off their guns. But when the system goes haywire and Blane is killed in a duel with a robotic gunslinger (Yul Brynner), Martin's escapist fantasy suddenly takes on a grim reality.

Chris B Classic scfi movies. Acting is great . Casting is prefect . The story is fresh and unique ahead of its time . A must watch for science fiction fans Rated 4.5 out of 5 stars 03/24/25 Full Review The H To its credit, "Westworld" did plant seeds that blossomed into classics like "Terminator", "Robocop" and evidently "Jurassic Park". But as a standalone film, it's a 5/10 at best. A remake with a tighter script, better pacing, and a healthy dose of realism could turn this dusty relic into a genuine sci-fi masterpiece. It suffers a bit from lack of exposition, a clear conclusion, and a few rather implausible scenarios.
