In this classic silent comedy, Robert (Thomas Meighan) has become bored with his bland and old-fashioned wife, Beth (Gloria Swanson), while her patience is tested by his common desires and lowbrow tastes. Divorcing Beth and remarrying stylish jazz doll Sally (Bebe Daniels) seems like a good idea at the time, but when Robert gets a look at his newly glamorized and revamped ex-wife, he begins to question the hasty switch. Is he too late to win Beth back?

Why Change your wife? Because if your wife stops being your sweetheart, your heart may roam elsewhere. Another Gloria Swanson/CB DeMille collaboration from 1920, with lavish sets, costumes and some fun with a dog and a cat.

This is pretty good! Certainly a bit on the overly dramatic side, but a clever and pretty contemporary look at an unhappy marriage, that ends up renewing itself into love again. I really liked it. Gloria Swanson is terrific, and the movie is directed by the incomparable Cecil B. DeMille.

A wonderful full length film. The begining scenes of the movie do start off slow, But the pace picks up and moves along fine. A must see for Gloria Swanson fans or Silent fans in general.
