Ex-con Kermek wishes to find a job, but the local police officer, Bozoy, decides to recruit him to commit crimes for his gang of small-time crooks. He soon meets Eva, a prostitute, and after falling in love the pair abscond to the Kazakh hills and mountains with nothing to their names but a gun and a stolen box of mob money. Eager to leave behind their lives of crime, they aspire to open a movie theater. The only things standing in their way are Zhambas, the cops, and Baldyr, the gang boss.
