Inkoo Kang The New Yorker Female ambition is “Hacks” ’s object of obsession, and while the series’ portrayal of Hollywood feels timely, it’s used mostly in service of developing the central theme. May 5, 2025 Full Review Wenlei Ma The Nightly (AU) The one thing you can always count on is the continued evolution of two incredibly complex characters and their relationship. The show never lets us down on this front. You love to see it. Apr 22, 2025 Full Review David Mack Slate Hacks remains one of the most joke-dense shows on television. The episodes are a riot. Apr 14, 2025 Full Review Dónal Lynch Sunday Independent (Ireland) By all means watch it for the art-imitating-life-imitating art dimensions, but don’t believe the hosannas of hype. Hacks is just plain old hacky. Rated: 2/5 Apr 20, 2025 Full Review Cory Woodroof For the Win (USA Today) Hacks remains as gloriously acidic and hearteningly complicated as ever. Apr 20, 2025 Full Review Tara Ariano Cracked As all-consuming as this relationship can be, watching it would be exhausting if the show wasn’t so funny. Mark H I liked the previous seasons. This one is insufferable. Watching the difficulties in the relationship between Deborah and Ava are not just not funny, they are far fetched, annoying and disturbing. The show used to be funny and meaningful. Now it is neither. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/15/25 Full Review Jake V Season 4 started pretty slow but it really picked up pace in the later episodes. I'm still watching! Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/15/25 Full Review Diane F Don't know which character I love/hate more, Deborah or Ava. Einbinder makes me laugh whenever she's on screen. She's great at physical comedy. I'm loving season 4. The truple is perfect for Ava's character. I miss Marcus Rated 5 out of 5 stars 05/13/25 Full Review Venus i I binged on the wit, wisdom and good fun in Seasons 1-3 so find Season 4 mystifying in its gimmickry and inability to articulate its ideas in any watchable form. I get that they had to change gears when Deborah got Late Night but the characters seem to have turned into one-dimensional cartoon versions of their former selves. Maybe the producers themselves were too influenced by audience surveys, given that so many 12-year-olds love the awful Kayla, when they should have stuck with character development in the two leads. Barely watchable without cringe. Rated 0.5 out of 5 stars 05/13/25 Full Review beth s I have loved Hacks and recommended it to countless people but season four, while well acted, is radically off. The relationship between Ava and Deborah went from comical to beyond annoying. The interview with Ava's ex was too much- so cruel. Deborah crossed over to unredeemable. I'm daydreaming that she has a stroke on live 온라인카지노추천 and is in a wheelchair with a diaper & drool cup. We all knew the reminder to lock the doggy door was foreshadowing for what was to come. So... not really sure if Deborah's dog survived bc we turned the channel when a coyote entered the yard on the security camera. I'm not watching another episode after that stressful stunt. The only silver lining was Ava quitting- hope she soars without Deborah. Sadly, 2 thumbs WAY down for Season 4. Rated 1 out of 5 stars 05/13/25 Full Review Phillip J Seems like this previously must-see show has jumped the shark. Season 4 seems like it was thrown together in a rush by a a bunch of high-school seniors. The intense/clever dialogue that made this show hot has been replaced by tired slapstick tumbles and implausible interactions. The acting of the leads seems to have slipped to the level of the script. Rated 1.5 out of 5 stars 05/12/25 Full Review Read all reviews
