Touch Me (2025) 90% “We'd deny it if asked, but the truth is that we're all looking for our own version of tentacle sex that cures our trauma, so none of us have any room to question Addison Heimann's path to work through his own.” – Slashfilm Apr 13, 2025 Full Review Redux Redux (2025) 96% “In an era when studios are inflating already-obscene budgets in the hopes of building CGI multiverses [...] "Redux Redux" is a phenomenal reminder that money will never be a match for a great story brought to life with incredible actors.” – Slashfilm Apr 10, 2025 Full Review Sinners (2025) 98% “Sinners is currently Coogler’s magnum opus, and I can’t help but think he’s only just getting started. This isn’t only one of the best horror films of the year, it’s one of the best films, period.” – Fangoria Apr 10, 2025 Full Review The Ugly Stepsister (2025) 96% “A movie as gorgeous as it is gruesome, complete with a few moments of gore that had a handful of people audibly fighting the urge to retch in the aisles.” – Slashfilm Apr 8, 2025 Full Review Locked (2025) 65% 4/10 “"Locked" lives and dies by the performances of a trapped-in-the car Bill Skarsgård and the taunting voice of Anthony Hopkins over the vehicle's speakers, and it's evident that the two are having an absolute blast. ” – Slashfilm Mar 19, 2025 Full Review Borderline (2025) 56% “"Borderline" allows Nicholson and Weaving to make a feast out of their characters (especially Nicholson) but the script is a comedy of errors that wreaks havoc on all involved. ” – Slashfilm Mar 14, 2025 Full Review Control Freak (2025) 64% “Control Freak bites off more than it can chew at times, but it’s still a feast of ideas worth consuming.” – Fangoria Mar 14, 2025 Full Review Mickey 17 (2025) 77% 9/10 “"Mickey 17" is a deeply heartfelt and uncomfortably funny musing on capitalism, colonization, and corruption. It's a perfect film for our time, and Bong Joon-ho's best English-language film yet.” – Slashfilm Feb 15, 2025 Full Review Companion (2025) 93% “Sleek, savvy, and packed with effective scares, whoever said January was a dumping ground for horror movies is a fool because Companion has set the bar as the best horror film of the year (so far).” – Fangoria Jan 23, 2025 Full Review Nightbitch (2024) 59% “Nightbitch isn’t afraid to remind the viewer that motherhood begins with an act of violence [...] but it also feels it necessary to constantly remind the audience like a pair of plastic keys clacking in the face of a crying infant in a restaurant.” – Fangoria Jan 23, 2025 Full Review Sonic the Hedgehog 3 (2024) 85% 7.5/10 “"Sonic the Hedgehog 3" is bigger, bolder, and better than ever.” – Slashfilm Dec 18, 2024 Full Review Babygirl (2024) 76% 8/10 “Kidman's performance is simultaneously vulnerable and feral, yet another tally on the board proving her as one of the greatest to ever do it. ” – Slashfilm Dec 2, 2024 Full Review Moana 2 (2024) 61% 7/10 “Fortunately, much like "Frozen II," "The Incredibles 2," and "Toy Story 4," we may not have needed a sequel, but at least the one we got is enjoyable and manages to actually push the story forward.” – Slashfilm Nov 26, 2024 Full Review Will & Harper (2024) 99% 8/10 “...A charming glimpse at companionship, the growing pains of a well-meaning ally having to reckon with what it is like to love a trans person, and a hopeful reminder that supportive voices exist beyond the progressive bubbles of the coasts.” – Slashfilm Sep 27, 2024 Full Review Speak No Evil (2024) 83% 8.5/10 “But for anyone who knows how the original film ends, there are still plenty of surprises in store. ” – Slashfilm Sep 10, 2024 Full Review The Killer (2024) 59% 7/10 “"The Killer" is not trying to recapture his masterpiece, but a continued exploration of similar dynamics in a new setting with new people and in a new time period. ” – Slashfilm Aug 23, 2024 Full Review Blink Twice (2024) 75% 8/10 “The result is a genuine, jaw-dropping thrill ride, and the biggest surprise film of the year. ” – Slashfilm Aug 14, 2024 Full Review It Ends With Us (2024) 54% 4/10 “As a survivor of domestic violence myself, I'm grappling with a movie that gets so much right but is ultimately trying to grow a garden in the poisoned soil of bad source material.” – Slashfilm Aug 7, 2024 Full Review Bit (2019) 93% 4/5 “"For the voices who have felt marginalized by horror films for…well…ever…'Bit' is the badass power fantasy we’ve always dreamed of."” – Bloody Disgusting Jul 22, 2024 Full Review Shelby Oaks (2023) 79% 8/10 “"A deeply unsettling view that never loses its sense of heart or humanity."” – Slashfilm Jul 22, 2024 Full Review MaXXXine (2024) 72% 8.5/10 “The result is an erotic cataclysm of gnarly kills, an aesthetic to die for, and another powerhouse performance from Mia Goth. ” – Slashfilm Jun 26, 2024 Full Review The Imaginary (2023) 91% 8.5/10 “Sometimes you watch a film and know the moment the credits roll that you've witnessed something special, one that will become a beloved favorite and be passed down for years to come.” – Slashfilm Jun 14, 2024 Full Review Backspot (2023) 87% 7/10 “"Backspot" walks a delicate line between traditional teen fare and an adult-centric drama, which is precisely the intersection Riley inhabits. ” – Slashfilm May 31, 2024 Full Review The Strangers: Chapter 1 (2024) 21% 4.5/10 “...diehard horror fans are going to be severely disappointed by this paint-by-numbers slasher that fundamentally misunderstands what made the original film such a phenomenon.” – Slashfilm May 16, 2024 Full Review Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga (2024) 90% 10/10 “George Miller has given us a scorching, rip-roaring, and downright breathtaking odyssey that serves his finest work yet.” – Slashfilm May 15, 2024 Full Review
