Biography:

I am the co-founder and Assistant Editor of The Lamplight Review (previously The Nerd Repository) and co-host of its podcast Drinks & Discourse. I graduated from Arizona State University in 2002 and currently reside in Tempe, AZ where I took my life-long obsession with nerd culture to help build our brand. Through the growth of the site I've attended multiple large-scale events under press credentials such as San Diego Comic-Con where I have interviewed stars of 온라인카지노추천 and Film. On top of setting up interviews and managing of writers who submit content, I continue to review both 온라인카지노추천 and Film on a weekly basis for The Lamplight Review.

Freaky Tales (2024) 73% 3.5/5 “This goofy exploration of 80s music and pop culture doesn't make much sense, but its gory frenetic energy and retro style are enough to make up for it. ” – The Lamplight Review Apr 4, 2025 Full Review The Ballad of Wallis Island (2025) 97% 4/5 “The melodic tones compliment a relatable tale of love and loss that's packed with quite a few endearing laughs in what feels like a spiritual successor in tone to the cult favorite Once.” – The Lamplight Review Apr 3, 2025 Full Review Captain America: Brave New World (2025) 48% 3/5 “Mackie is not to blame and we know he is deservedly going to be entrenched as Captain America for the upcoming Avengers projects. Still, it leaves his first solo outing in the forgettable middle tier of MCU project rankings.” – The Lamplight Review Feb 13, 2025 Full Review Unstoppable (2024) 76% 4/5 “Unstoppable gives Anthony Robles’s remarkable achievements the treatment they deserve in a well-earned spotlight on the big screen.” – The Lamplight Review Dec 6, 2024 Full Review Red One (2024) 30% 3.5 out of 5 “Red One is bonkers enough to make you giggle, giving you a break from the usual holiday flick, if you don’t mind a Christmas movie with a side of overly elaborate big-budget superhero-style action.” – The Lamplight Review Nov 14, 2024 Full Review Joker: Folie à Deux (2024) 31% 2.5/5 “It comes across as a less cohesive film than Joker and more like a splash of ideas and sequences forced together to make a story.” – The Lamplight Review Oct 3, 2024 Full Review Monster Summer (2024) 57% 3/5 “The film packs a nostalgic sheen but is missing just a little more of the adventure and the fantastic.” – The Lamplight Review Oct 2, 2024 Full Review Beetlejuice Beetlejuice (2024) 75% 3.5 out of 5 “This weirder and at times scarier follow-up is messy but has enough of the original magic to entertain audiences thanks to its tremendous comedic performances.” – The Lamplight Review Sep 5, 2024 Full Review Deadpool & Wolverine (2024) 78% 4/5 “'Deadpool & Wolverine' is the funniest movie of the year and fan service at its most entertaining.” – The Lamplight Review Jul 23, 2024 Full Review Twisters (2024) 75% 3.5/5 “May lack the charm of the original, but still packs enough of a thunderous punch to thrill summer audiences again.” – The Lamplight Review Jul 18, 2024 Full Review The Iron Claw (2023) 89% 3.5/5 “The Iron Claw falls short of sports film greatness due to the bleak, slow train wreck that lies in the retelling of the tragic family story.” – The Lamplight Review Dec 21, 2023 Full Review Merry Little Batman (2023) 97% 3.5/5 “Comic book fans will love the superhero holiday hijinks Merry Little Batman provides and casual viewers will enjoy a refreshing break from the same old formulaic seasonal movies and specials.” – The Lamplight Review Dec 6, 2023 Full Review Butcher's Crossing (2022) 72% 3/5 “It's not a rootin' tootin' Old West good time, but for Cage fans, this is an interesting enough look into the harsher elements of frontier life in a role that plays to the actor's strong suits.” – The Lamplight Review Oct 20, 2023 Full Review The Creator (2023) 68% 3.5/5 “Does not redefine the genre with its recycled story structure, but it's a well crafted sci-fi epic with some unique perspectives on A.I. and its place in the modern world.” – The Lamplight Review Sep 28, 2023 Full Review Blue Beetle (2023) 78% 3/5 “The structure follows all the tropes audiences have come to expect in a film of this type, but Maridueña IS Jaime Reyes and Blue Beetle is a serviceable launch to a hero that has big potential for James Gunn’s emerging DC cinematic rebirth.” – The Lamplight Review Aug 17, 2023 Full Review Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem (2023) 95% 4/5 “An impressive first installment that kids will go nuts for while taking the characters into a future with big potential, 'Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Mutant Mayhem' is gross and weirder than the Turtles have ever been and that's why it's awesome.” – The Lamplight Review Aug 1, 2023 Full Review Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning Part One (2023) 96% 3.5/5 “Cruise's new mission to thrill is very possible and audiences will leave the theater entertained and ready for next summer’s epic conclusion. ” – The Lamplight Review Jul 12, 2023 Full Review Asteroid City (2023) 76% 4/5 “Asteroid City remains one of [Anderson's] most visually impressive films, populated with an amazing cast and everything you’d expect from Anderson’s better works.” – The Lamplight Review Jun 22, 2023 Full Review The Flash (2023) 63% 3.5/5 “The long troubled production is without question a flashy *ahem* good time, but isn't quite worth the wait due to some shockingly sub-par CG visuals and a lack of depth for every supporting character aside from The Flash himself.” – The Lamplight Review Jun 15, 2023 Full Review Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse (2023) 95% 4.5/5 “Not just one of the best animated sequels of all time, but one of the greatest sequels of all time. Period. No need for the "animation" label.” – The Lamplight Review Jun 1, 2023 Full Review The Little Mermaid (2023) 67% 4/5 “The core story beats and songs are all intact, the visuals pop and the cast all embody the characters they are tasked with bringing to life. It isn't perfect and there some frustrating choices, but nevertheless should please fans old and new.” – The Lamplight Review May 23, 2023 Full Review Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3 (2023) 82% 3/5 “The pressure is stacked for Gunn to leave on a high note, but while the main characters end up in satisfying places, the road to get there is uneven and too emotionally manipulative for its own good.” – The Lamplight Review May 3, 2023 Full Review Renfield (2023) 58% 4/5 “Let’s be honest though, Cage is killer in this and the reason to buy your ticket. He owns every second of his screen time and is clearly loving what he’s doing. The jokes are dark, witty and sometimes quite insightful.” – The Lamplight Review Apr 14, 2023 Full Review Tetris (2023) 81% 3/5 “The snazzy direction and endearing performance from Egerton mixed with the leveled-up 8-Bit nostalgia makes it a breezy watch if you're not into, you know, the whole historical accuracy thing. ” – The Lamplight Review Mar 30, 2023 Full Review Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves (2023) 91% 4/5 “Loads all of its stat points into charisma and succeeds as an enormously entertaining fantasy genre surprise.” – The Lamplight Review Mar 29, 2023 Full Review
