Sinners (2025) 98% A “It is a breathtaking cinematic experience, one where Coogler uses everything at his disposal to create an immersive experience full of rich characters and impeccable craftsmanship. ” – Bowling Green Daily News Apr 17, 2025 Full Review A Minecraft Movie (2025) 48% B- “This all winds up being mindless fun with a couple of over-the-top comedic performances from Jack Black and Jason Momoa as well as a fun, visually immersive world that really springs to life on the big screen. ” – Bowling Green Daily News Apr 11, 2025 Full Review A Working Man (2025) 49% C- “It all adds up to a film we’ve seen many times before, especially from Statham. ” – Bowling Green Daily News Apr 5, 2025 Full Review Holland (2025) 21% C- “Despite a game effort from Nicole Kidman this thriller never finds its footing, a film that only gets more confusing and convoluted as it goes. ” – Bowling Green Daily News Mar 28, 2025 Full Review Thank You Very Much (2023) 90% B “Braverman has captured an effective snapshot of Kaufman, a film that manages to highlight his mystique to a new generation while giving his long-time fans just enough new insight to make it satisfying as well. ” – Bowling Green Daily News Mar 27, 2025 Full Review The Alto Knights (2025) 39% C “Despite all this fire power, “The Alto Knights” ultimately fizzles – a pale retread of better movies in the genre that is technically efficient but lacks the pizazz to make it stand out. ” – Bowling Green Daily News Mar 27, 2025 Full Review Black Bag (2025) 96% A- “It’s one of those films where everything is clicking together in unison – a perfect synergy of a great cast with great characters in a film that is directed and presented nearly flawlessly. ” – Bowling Green Daily News Mar 22, 2025 Full Review Mickey 17 (2025) 77% B ““Mickey 17” might not hit the high standards of its predecessor, or even Joon-Ho’s previous work “Snowpiercer,” but it is still a quality piece of science fiction, one that proves to be a little more profound than the premise might suggest. ” – Bowling Green Daily News Mar 13, 2025 Full Review Last Breath (2025) 80% B “A bare-bones thriller based on a true story, it’s the kind of film that gives audiences exactly what they would expect coming in and delivers in workmanlike fashion. ” – Bowling Green Daily News Mar 6, 2025 Full Review Night of the Zoopocalypse (2024) 96% B- “Ultimately, “Night of the Zoopocalypse” keeps everything pretty close to the vest – not trying to go anywhere beyond the means of its simple premise. It proves to be a rather effective introduction to scary movies for kids. ” – Bowling Green Daily News Mar 6, 2025 Full Review The Monkey (2025) 78% B “Like the early “Final Destination” films there is almost this playful quality to it, with Perkins displaying a very morbid sense of humor. It’s the kind of film that continually crosses the line, but does so in very fun and creative ways. ” – Bowling Green Daily News Feb 20, 2025 Full Review Love Hurts (2025) 19% D+ “This would-be action comedy is heavy on the action sequences, but fails miserably everywhere else – wasting a cast that, like the target audience, deserves a whole lot better than this.” – Bowling Green Daily News Feb 15, 2025 Full Review Companion (2025) 93% B “Writer/director Drew Hancock has crafted a film with unexpected depth that is full of twists and turns that take the audience on a wildly entertaining – and thought-provoking – journey. ” – Bowling Green Daily News Feb 6, 2025 Full Review Presence (2024) 88% B “It’s a film filled with an emotional punch that makes it more than your standard haunted house movie. ” – Bowling Green Daily News Jan 31, 2025 Full Review One of Them Days (2025) 94% C “Keke Palmer and SZA are both appealing leads, who have great chemistry together, but the screenplay – from first time feature film screenwriter Syreeta Singleton – only offers a few surprises and even fewer laughs. ” – Bowling Green Daily News Jan 23, 2025 Full Review Den of Thieves: Pantera (2025) 62% C “This sequel is a pretty standard thriller that has nice scenery and another solid set piece in the final act, but never finds another gear to make it more than another forgettable action flick. ” – Bowling Green Daily News Jan 16, 2025 Full Review Nosferatu (2024) 84% A- “This may be the best crafted film yet in Eggers’ storied career – a lavishly exquisite retelling that is faithful to the original source material, while adding a modern flare that only enhances that material.” – Bowling Green Daily News Dec 24, 2024 Full Review Kraven the Hunter (2024) 15% D “It’s a bland, assembly line action film that really feels like it is coasting on autopilot.” – Bowling Green Daily News Dec 18, 2024 Full Review The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (2024) 92% B- “This cast is more than enough to make “Pageant” one of the stronger faith based films in recent memory, a Christmas tale that can be appreciated by the entire family.” – Bowling Green Daily News Dec 13, 2024 Full Review Blink Twice (2024) 75% B+ “Working from a script that she co-wrote with E.T. Feigenbaum, Kravitz shows a keen visual eye and a master sense of pacing – creating a highly effective, star-studded thriller that is also a razor-sharp social commentary. ” – Bowling Green Daily News Dec 6, 2024 Full Review Moana 2 (2024) 61% C “It’s the kind of sequel that is probably the worst of them all – one that just feels like it is going through the motions with nothing much to offer. ” – Bowling Green Daily News Dec 5, 2024 Full Review Saturday Night (2024) 78% B “Aided by a strong cast that is up to the challenge, this is a near-perfect love letter to a show that has become such a mainstay in many homes. ” – Bowling Green Daily News Nov 21, 2024 Full Review Gladiator II (2024) 70% C+ “For fans of the original it’s more of the same. For everyone else it’s all Denzel and little else.” – Bowling Green Daily News Nov 20, 2024 Full Review A Real Pain (2024) 96% A “It’s a film that packs a powerful little punch in its brisk 90-minute run time. ” – Bowling Green Daily News Nov 18, 2024 Full Review Anora (2024) 93% A “A wonderfully unique tale anchored by the arrival of a young actress who is ready to take the world by storm.” – Bowling Green Daily News Nov 9, 2024 Full Review
