The Legend of Ochi (2025) 80% 3.5/5 “Saxon brings a sense of awe + wonder to a familiar creature feature, though the family dynamics aren't explored deeply enough. Strong world-building and eye-catching visuals are the movie’s biggest strengths.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Apr 25, 2025 Full Review The King of Kings (2025) 64% 3/5 “Including Dickens & his son in the Gospel story can be distracting, and the character design leaves much to be desired, but the creators care about Jesus' story enough to give it the respect and reverence it deserves.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Apr 20, 2025 Full Review The Swedish Torpedo (2024) 2.5/5 “Sally Bauer's story is incredible, and Neldén delivers a captivating performance as the lead. This biopic had the potential to be great, but held back by the ironically glacial pace and excessively dark visuals.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Apr 16, 2025 Full Review The Amateur (2025) 61% 3.5/5 “Rami Malek effectively leads a vengeance thriller where the nerdy underdog gets the last laugh. It's got Bond & Bourne vibes, but with tech whiz Q as the action hero instead.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Apr 12, 2025 Full Review LUZ (2025) 44% 3/5 “The story doesn't quite match its stunning visuals as there's a lack of emotional depth in the relationships. That said, LUZ was still a worthy watch, and Huppert's joie de vivre is electrifying.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Apr 10, 2025 Full Review Bound in Heaven (2024) 4/5 “It’s a deeply romantic and intimate film with some really touching, poetic moments, even when no word is spoken. Filmed on locations around China, from the lush countryside to the modern city streets, the cinematography is as beautiful as it is evocative.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Apr 9, 2025 Full Review The Friend (2024) 84% 3/5 “This movie lingers a bit too long, but thankfully Naomi Watts, the mesmerizing Great Dane, and the wonderful Manhattan scenery keep this heartwarming story of friendship engaging.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Apr 4, 2025 Full Review The Penguin Lessons (2024) 80% 4/5 “A delightful and funny dramedy featuring one of the most affecting performances by Steve Coogan, though the adorable penguin easily steals the spotlight.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Apr 2, 2025 Full Review Nosferatu (2024) 84% 4/5 “Stunningly beautiful and atmospheric, with excellent performances from the cast, notably Lily-Rose Depp and Nicholas Hoult. A standout amongst the crowded vampire genre.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Apr 2, 2025 Full Review Holland (2025) 21% 2.5/5 “The talented cast led by Nicole Kidman, is fun to watch, but the movie is tonally all over the place, and all that buildup fails to deliver a satisfying ending.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Mar 29, 2025 Full Review Ex-Husbands (2023) 83% 3.5/5 “Griffin Dune leads this earnest dramedy of multi-generational men grappling with a relationship crisis. There are plenty of dysfunctional family dramedies out there, but I always welcome thought-provoking, nuanced character-driven stories like this one.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Mar 27, 2025 Full Review Bob Trevino Likes It (2024) 95% 3.5/5 “It's an indie gem about the profound joy of unexpected friendship. The budding connection between Lily and Bob is wonderful to watch, even when it sometimes descends into mawkishness.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Mar 23, 2025 Full Review Disney's Snow White (2025) 40% 2.5/5 “Disney's Snow White amounts to passable entertainment. While the lively tunes from Pasek + Paul make it enjoyable, this live-action remake is far from awe-inspiring.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Mar 21, 2025 Full Review Oh My Goodness! (2022) 3/5 “A whimsical French comedy of mischievous bike-racing nuns. It's unapologetically goofy + absurd, but also hilarious & endearing with a touch of redemption in the end.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Mar 20, 2025 Full Review Black Bag (2025) 96% 4.5/5 “Soderbergh’s sleek, sexy spy caper makes the most of its impressive ensemble cast. There's something really rewarding about seeing a sharply directed, smartly written movie that ties everything together in just 93 minutes.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Mar 16, 2025 Full Review Mickey 17 (2025) 77% 3/5 “Robert Pattinson’s comedic flair makes Mickey 17 so entertaining. Bong packs this sci-fi satire with plenty of themes to ruminate on and mixes various genres that don’t always mesh perfectly.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Mar 14, 2025 Full Review On Becoming a Guinea Fowl (2024) 100% 4/5 “A fantastic sophomore effort from Nyoni. She refrains from spoon-feeding the viewers with over-expositions and delivers a sharp critique in a tight 99 minutes, loaded with thought-provoking ideas.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Mar 14, 2025 Full Review Maestra (2023) 100% 4/5 “It's captivating and enlightening, and I walked away feeling inspired by these women who are breaking barriers in orchestral conducting.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Mar 14, 2025 Full Review Vermiglio (2024) 93% 3.5/5 “This is quintessential arthouse cinema where the slow, deliberate pace might not appeal to everyone. I find the subtlety captivating, and Vermiglio is brimming with disquieting mystery.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Mar 14, 2025 Full Review Last Breath (2025) 80% 3/5 “An intense survival story and an amazing race against time that really showcases the strength of the human spirit. The intense underwater experience had me holding my breath. ” – FlixChatter Film Blog Mar 7, 2025 Full Review Superboys of Malegaon (2024) 88% 4/5 “A spirited, feel-good movie celebrating friendship and the love of cinema. Kagti’s vibrant direction makes this such a joy to watch, an immersive experience from start to finish.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Feb 28, 2025 Full Review Anora (2024) 93% 3.5/5 “A film that comes together in its final moments, anchored by Mikey Madison’s star-making turn.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Feb 25, 2025 Full Review The Gorge (2025) 63% 3/5 “Anya-TaylorJoy + Miles Teller make a good couple, but the risible plot holes are as massive as the gorge itself. Still, this creature feature meets rom-com is entertaining enough to warrant a recommendation.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Feb 21, 2025 Full Review Paddington in Peru (2024) 93% 3.5/5 “It's not as foolproof as the 2nd sequel but it remains a wonderfully enjoyable family movie. While the most charming cinematic bear gets a bit lost in the wieldy jungle adventure, he still packs a lot of charm.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Feb 18, 2025 Full Review Captain America: Brave New World (2025) 48% 2.5/5 “Despite committed performances from Mackie and Ford, this one is neither daring nor fresh. With a lackluster villain and drab visuals, overall it's an underwhelming MCU entry.” – FlixChatter Film Blog Feb 14, 2025 Full Review
