Until Dawn (2025) 53% ““Until Dawn” combines “The Vanishing” (1988), “Silent Hill” (2006), “The Endless” (2017) with a dash of “Doll Eyes” (2021) and “Storm of the Century” (1999). There are visual shout outs to Sam Raimi’s horror films. ” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 12, 2025 Full Review Rosario (2025) 69% ““Rosario” is a solid first feature, and if you critiqued “Sinners” (2025) for the lack of Latino representation, then here is your chance to support a Latino film with your dollars, time and attention.” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 12, 2025 Full Review Shadow Force (2025) 29% “f there is a sequel, just let it focus on Randolph. If an Oscar award winning actor is going to be in a mid-action movie, let her be the star!” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 12, 2025 Full Review Lilly (2024) ““Lilly” feels less like a movie about Ledbetter, and a film trying to relive the glory days of Obama’s first term” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 12, 2025 Full Review Fight or Flight (2024) 77% “Hot Hartnett is the reason that “Trap” (2024) was a success. If casting had given the role to another actor, “Fight or Flight” would be a monotonous mess” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 12, 2025 Full Review Clown in a Cornfield (2025) 73% ““Clown in a Cornfield” is no “Thanksgiving” (2023), but it belongs in the same category for combining themes, having a message and committing to merciless mayhem. Your enjoyment depends on how many slasher movies you consume. ” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 12, 2025 Full Review Absolute Dominion (2025) ““Absolute Dominion” feels more like the pilot to a broadcast television series than a standalone movie, and the incomplete end of the narrative suggests room for a sequel. It feels as if every round to the championship will be a standalone movie. ” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 12, 2025 Full Review My Robot Sophia (2022) 92% ““My Robot Sophia” does an amazing job of just offering scenes without explanation and letting the viewers derive their own meaning from the interactions.” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 12, 2025 Full Review When Fall Is Coming (2024) 95% “Even if you normally hate ambiguity, this narrative’s adherence to it increases the suspense and tension in a delicious way. The ensemble cast is perfect.” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 12, 2025 Full Review The Moogai (2024) 49% ““The Moogai” is probably better than most critics believe because we do not understand everything that we are seeing. As a first-time feature filmmaker, Bell’s first time at bat is a success, and people should stay glued to see how his work will evolve.” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 12, 2025 Full Review Black Tea (2024) 38% “At its best, it is a story about (heteronormative) love and seamless belonging where differences only enhance life, not divide it. At its worst, dangerous behavior is like a wolf in Benetton clothing” – Boston Movie News May 12, 2025 Full Review An Unfinished Film (2024) 77% “For people who did not experience the pandemic or do not mind relieving the pandemic, “An Unfinished Film” is the definitive film of that era, which is why viewers who do not normally watch films that they live through should probably avoid this movie. ” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 5, 2025 Full Review Thunderbolts* (2025) 88% “The real villain is depression, and if “Thunderbolts*” is worth watching, it is so audiences will seek help after watching indomitable people fight such a common issue and almost fail. While the solution is pat, it has a kernel of truth. ” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 5, 2025 Full Review Another Simple Favor (2025) 62% “If it deserves to go straight to streaming, it is because of the storytelling, but visually it belongs on the big screen, and the vibe feels very classic Hollywood with all the catty banter. ” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 5, 2025 Full Review The Last Spark of Hope (2023) “Human beings keep telling dystopian instead of apocalyptic tales, and Biedron’s goal is to shock his audience back into remembering that apocalypse is always on the table during a dystopia, to abandon the fantasy of being a survivor” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 5, 2025 Full Review Electra (2024) “If as much effort was put into the story as the film’s look, it may be worth watching. ” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 5, 2025 Full Review The Surfer (2024) 86% “Two people at the screening walked out in the middle, and they were the smart ones because that is the movie’s lesson. They did not need to watch it, and neither do you.” – Boston Movie News May 5, 2025 Full Review Rust (2024) 54% “Every exterior scene is like an answered prayer and elevates a movie that takes a long time to get where it is going, which is as predictable as a math equation using single digit numbers.” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 5, 2025 Full Review A Normal Family (2023) 93% “If you do not like subtitles but may be willing to give a foreign movie a chance, start with this one, and you will not be disappointed. South Korean filmmakers are the best, and this movie proves that rule.” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 5, 2025 Full Review The Accountant 2 (2025) 76% ““The Accountant 2” (2025) is the next piece introducing the realistic X-Men but instead of mutants, it is neurodivergent people who receive training to transform their disability into a superpower. ” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 1, 2025 Full Review The Accountant (2016) 53% ““The Accountant” is like McDonalds. It is not good or good for you, but you still eat it up.” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 1, 2025 Full Review Fréwaka (2024) 95% “Clarke combines Celtic folklore with the Irish history of the Catholic church, especially with unwed mothers, as the backdrop and takes some evocative artistic liberties to flesh out the folklore.” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 1, 2025 Full Review The Shrouds (2024) 76% “Only completist Cronenberg fans should watch his latest film, and even they should get a lot of sleep and drink coffee before watching or they may discover that this film is a soporific.” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 1, 2025 Full Review Stay with Us (2022) 71% “Elmaleh is the equivalent of comedians who were hits decades ago making jokes where they insert a racial group then say they are like that then use another to contrast it except he uses religion (Catholic, Jewish and Muslim). It is a dated kind of comedy ” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 1, 2025 Full Review On Swift Horses (2024) 51% “It would have been a better movie if there was no dialogue, and Elordi just stood around half naked making out with people.” – Sarah G Vincent Views May 1, 2025 Full Review
