The King of Kings (2025) 64% 2.5/5 “The King of Kings, then, is a confounding mixed bag; it’s an animated movie that tries so very hard to appeal to its target audience, but that ends up feeling more like an educational product than an ambitious or well-crafted motion picture. ” – Loud and Clear Reviews Apr 25, 2025 Full Review Havoc (2025) 65% 4/5 “Centring on a story about corruption, violence and betrayals, Havoc manages to be more brutal, bloody and over-the-top than any other genre piece I’ve seen in recent months.” – Loud and Clear Reviews Apr 24, 2025 Full Review The Trouble with Jessica (2023) 56% 3.5/5 “The movie is shot very traditionally [...] but it manages to compensate for these mistakes with solid performances, some hilarious jokes, and an overall story that feels unpredictable, absurd, poignant and affecting.” – Loud and Clear Reviews Apr 23, 2025 Full Review Call of the Void (2025) 3/5 “The story takes too long to get going, and it's not a particularly terrifying experience, but for a very specific audience, “Call of the Void” should at least be interesting. [Full review in Spanish].” – Me gusta el cine Apr 22, 2025 Full Review A Minecraft Movie (2025) 48% 3/5 “Older people will leave the cinema confused, but those who know something about the game will find a harmless experience that, in its opening scenes, displays an absurdist tone appropriate for the director of “Napoleon Dynamite”. [Full review in Spanish].” – Me gusta el cine Apr 21, 2025 Full Review Risen (2016) 53% 3.5/5 “"Risen" should be able to become, even nine years after its original release, the kind of film that any family should watch and enjoy during Easter. I'm sure they'll be just as (pleasantly) surprised as this critic. [Full review in Spanish].” – Me gusta el cine Apr 20, 2025 Full Review Black Bag (2025) 96% 4.5/5 “An intriguing film that makes the most of the talents of its great cast to develop a mysterious, dark, and unpredictable narrative that knows how to gradually feed the viewer with true, false, or partially reliable information. [Full review in Spanish].” – Cinencuentro Apr 9, 2025 Full Review Sister Death (2023) 88% 4/5 “I liked “Sister Death” more than its predecessor, but together, both films certainly work to build an intense and dark world that will surely continue into the not-so-distant future. [Full review in Spanish].” – Me gusta el cine Apr 7, 2025 Full Review Veronica (2017) 86% 3.5/5 ““Veronica” is a fairly conventional supernatural horror film, which nevertheless stands out thanks to the stylised direction of co-writer Paco Plaza, and the solid main performance of the young Sandra Escacena, in her film debut. [Full review in Spanish].” – Me gusta el cine Apr 7, 2025 Full Review The Holiday (2006) 51% 4/5 “It can be considered a lovely comfort film: the conflicts are not so serious, the performances are charming, the locations are beautiful, the romance is mature but never too explicit, and the comedy is gentle and even innocent. [Full review in Spanish].” – Me gusta el cine Apr 7, 2025 Full Review A Nightmare on Elm Street (1984) 94% 4/5 “A Nightmare on Elm Street still deserves to be considered a classic; it’s an atmospheric, memorable and suspenseful slasher, full of creative and shocking kills, and featuring one of cinema’s most recognisable villains.” – Loud and Clear Reviews Apr 3, 2025 Full Review The Strangers (2008) 49% 3.5/5 “It's not perfect, but it still works—still—as a good example of the genre; it's not hard to see, therefore, why it ended up becoming a franchise that continues to this day. [Full review in Spanish].” – Me gusta el cine Apr 2, 2025 Full Review The People's Joker (2022) 96% 3.5/5 “A personal project made on a small budget that addresses the author's transition, as well as other social themes through the famous DC Comics antihero. [Full review in Spanish].” – Ventana Indiscreta Apr 2, 2025 Full Review Eric LaRue (2023) 71% 4/5 “It’s a solid debut for Shannon in the director’s chair and the type of movie that makes one excited to see what he’ll be able to do next.” – Loud and Clear Reviews Mar 31, 2025 Full Review I Know What You Did Last Summer (1997) 48% 3/5 “As a horror experience centred on the slasher subgenre, “I Know What You Did Last Summer” is merely competent. I would recommend it to those new to horror, but those with more experience with the genre will likely find it boring. [Full review in Spanish].” – Me gusta el cine Mar 31, 2025 Full Review Dead Silence (2007) 20% 2.5/5 “It ends up feeling like a horror experiment that is not lacking in interesting elements (such as stylized and attractive photography by the experienced John R. Leonetti), but that at the end of the day, falls short. [Full review in Spanish].” – Me gusta el cine Mar 31, 2025 Full Review Ready or Not (2019) 89% 4/5 “It's not perfect, and the mix of comedy and suspense probably won't be for everyone, but for Yours Truly, it ended up being a very fun experience that had me on the edge of my seat most of the time. [Full review in Spanish].” – Me gusta el cine Mar 30, 2025 Full Review A Working Man (2025) 49% 3.5/5 “It's nothing more or less than what you can expect from a new Jason Statham film. It's hard-hitting action where the protagonist is so precise and invincible that it doesn't take him much trouble to take down legions of baddies. [Full review in Spanish].” – Me gusta el cine Mar 27, 2025 Full Review Disney's Snow White (2025) 40% 2.5/5 “That's how I can describe "Snow White": a film that's "a bit in between." It's not horrible, as many people have probably been saying, but it's not a particularly empowering or entertaining experience either. [Full review in Spanish].” – Me gusta el cine Mar 27, 2025 Full Review Jurassic Park (1993) 91% 4.5/5 “An exceptional blockbuster, full of interesting ideas about the dangers of control and unbridled scientific progress, and packed with incredible action and suspense sequences. [Full review in Spanish].” – Me gusta el cine Mar 26, 2025 Full Review Never Let Go (2024) 58% 3.5/5 “It has good ideas and is expertly directed by Aja; if it falters a little, it's because it ends up being too ambitious for its own good. And I'll always prefer a film like that to one that simply settles for the bare minimum. [Full review in Spanish].” – Me gusta el cine Mar 22, 2025 Full Review Parthenope (2024) 45% 3/5 “Being an overly long, tired film with an erratic pace and a dreamlike tone, "Parthenope" becomes a frustrating experience. I didn't hate watching it, but considering the talent behind and in front of the camera, I expected more. [Full review in Spanish].” – Me gusta el cine Mar 20, 2025 Full Review Novocaine (2025) 81% 3.5/5 “It's lighthearted, slightly ambitious entertainment; nothing mind-blowing, but curiously, compelling enough to leave one wanting to see a potential sequel. We'll just have to wait and see. [Full review in Spanish].” – Me gusta el cine Mar 19, 2025 Full Review Prey (2022) 94% 4/5 “Amber Midthunder is fantastic, the sequences of violence are bloody enough, and the overall concept works to give the film its own identity. [Full review in Spanish].” – Me gusta el cine Mar 19, 2025 Full Review Borderline (2025) 56% 3/5 “Samara Weaving is brilliant (as always), and the overall experience is entertaining, but considering the premise, I can't help but feel the film could have been so much more. Watch it for Weaving and even Nicholson. [Full review in Spanish].” – Cinencuentro Mar 14, 2025 Full Review
