Pangolin: Kulu's Journey (2025) 3/4 “Ehrlich again captures that inexplicable, rare and soulful union between human and beast in which there are equal stakes, souls and emotional wisdom.” – Cambridge Day Apr 25, 2025 Full Review The Shrouds (2024) 74% 3/4 “Unfortunately, many plot threads are left dangling, but they are a minor annoyance offset by the riveting psychosexual dance between the principal cast. ” – Cambridge Day Apr 25, 2025 Full Review The Wedding Banquet (2025) 88% 2.5/4 “As far as screwball comedies go, Ahn’s “Wedding Banquet” comes off a bit too sitcomlike for its own good, but there are some well-earned moments of heartfelt poignance as bridges are broached and characters bare their souls. ” – Gay City News Apr 21, 2025 Full Review Drop (2025) 84% 2/4 “A semi-effective, one-trick thriller that delivers for a good stretch.” – Cambridge Day Apr 11, 2025 Full Review Secret Mall Apartment (2024) 100% 3/4 “Townsend makes for an intriguing character study in real time, archival footage and cheeky reenactment.” – Cambridge Day Apr 11, 2025 Full Review A Working Man (2025) 49% “The fight choreography is pretty tight, but the film goes on too long and has too many dead spots, not to mention that each kill feels redundant and cold.” – Cambridge Day Apr 4, 2025 Full Review Warfare (2025) 93% 3/5 “The sound editing and subjective POVs are adroitly effective and the ensemble gives gritty goes from top to bottom” – Cambridge Day Apr 1, 2025 Full Review The Alto Knights (2025) 40% 2.5/4 “The production values are high, the era-recreating sets impressive and De Niro is at his mobster best since “Casino” and “Goodfellas” ” – Cambridge Day Mar 21, 2025 Full Review Magazine Dreams (2023) 80% 3/4 ““Magazine Dreams” is Bynum’s calling card, and one that signals well for the future. ” – Cambridge Day Mar 21, 2025 Full Review Black Bag (2025) 96% 3.5/4 “The casting and lean, well-honed and MacGuffin-driven script by Koepp make the film work, as well as the tightness of the final product as pulled together by Soderbergh, who edits and shoots as well. ” – Cambridge Day Mar 21, 2025 Full Review Delicious (2025) 2/4 “It plays like pastiche, but one that’s hard to look away from, the darker, humorless B-side of “White Lotus” on a lo-fi budget. ” – Cambridge Day Mar 13, 2025 Full Review Mickey 17 (2025) 77% 2.5/4 “17 is a hapless, simple sort, while 18 is a simmering sociopath. The yin and yang is delicious...” – Cambridge Day Mar 13, 2025 Full Review Chaos: The Manson Murders (2025) 56% 2.5/4 “Morris and O’Neill put a lot out there, but the most compelling part of the film is the maniacal puppet master, his cold, aloof rantings, hold on his subjects and ability to skirt the law and authorities even when he was a known sociopath.” – Cambridge Day Mar 13, 2025 Full Review Eephus (2024) 100% 3/4 “For lovers of the game, this nostalgic slow roll is right down the strike zone.” – Cambridge Day Mar 13, 2025 Full Review Silent Zone (2025) 2/4 “While it’s ambitious in scope and gritty in execution, it’s routinely trite in plot. ” – Cambridge Day Mar 7, 2025 Full Review The Monkey (2025) 79% 3/4 “Levy’s Aunt Ida is unforgettable for all the wrong reasons, with an unsettling sexual aura and a plotline that’s a creepshow instant classic. ” – Cambridge Day Feb 24, 2025 Full Review The Forge (2024) 63% 2/4 “The main and only reason the film works is Taylor-Joy, sleek and alluring in a cropped black bob, all business and ninja nimble in great action sequences but also evoking free-spirited fun.” – Cambridge Day Feb 18, 2025 Full Review Love Hurts (2025) 19% 2/4 “The sharply choreographed, hyperkinetic action sequences stick it while the romantic angle lands on some wobbly knees. ” – Cambridge Day Feb 18, 2025 Full Review The Order (2024) 92% 3/4 “The film doesn’t work without Law, who’s nearly unrecognizable as the disheveled, on-the-edge sort – his usual British charm and disarming accent are nowhere to be found.” – Cambridge Day Feb 18, 2025 Full Review You're Cordially Invited (2025) 48% 2/4 “The strength of the film, written and directed by Nicholas Stoller is the rom-com power pairing of Farrell and Witherspoon, who seem like they could do this all day long, and we’d be only happy to tag along. ” – Cambridge Day Feb 6, 2025 Full Review I'm Still Here (2024) 97% 3.5/4 “[Torres'] portrayal of Eunice is an emotional tour de force.” – Cambridge Day Feb 6, 2025 Full Review Presence (2024) 88% 2.5/4 “The film doesn’t totally hold together, but it’s enough to make this under-90-minute eerie thriller stick. ” – Cambridge Day Jan 31, 2025 Full Review Ad Vitam (2025) 43% 2.5/4 “The practical effects, car chases and beatdowns are gritty and well-choreographed.” – Cambridge Day Jan 25, 2025 Full Review The Front Room (2024) 41% 2/4 “"The Front Room" is a banal, watered-down version of "Rosemary's Baby"” – Cambridge Day Jan 25, 2025 Full Review All We Imagine as Light (2024) 100% 3/4 “The movie places the patriarchy under a microscope, not by lambasting double standards and gender inequality, but by showing the sisterhood formed through common causes and tribulations.” – Cambridge Day Jan 25, 2025 Full Review
