It is bad, but at least it is entertaining at points. One of the worst acted movies ever. Wahlberg and Deschanel are both atrocious.

The Happening starts off intriguing but quickly loses its way and becomes a bit of a head-scratcher.

THE worst movie I’ve ever seen. I’m still trying to figure out if it was supposed to be satirical like the Scary Movie movies. I mean, they couldn’t have been serious about this as horror, right?

This movie makes me laugh like a comedy. It’s so funny because it’s terribly cheesy. Not its intention but…it tries hard to be very serious but has terrible music, and awkward conversations and deaths.

The movie intrigues you with its quite promising beginning but as it progresses you begin to question what you're actually watching and what could be the resolution to such a unintentionally convoluted film

I've always thought it was a pretty good movie, never understood the bad reviews.

Fazendo uma grande parte a população morresse. A interpretação é boa dos atores e até de como desenrola o filme. Mas você fica na incógnita do que é o causador de tudo. Você começa com uma ? e termina da mesma maneira ? Temos cenas de tensão que nos segura. Mas ao final tudo desaparece e eles vivem felizes para sempre. Roteiro e enredo sem pe e nem cabeça, mas que no roteiro do filme foram boas. Vale apena assistir? Sim se você gosta este estilo de filmes. Nota: 5

The plot and casting had major potential, but something just fell really short of the mark. Some of the death scenes were cool. The dialogue and delivery for majority of the horribly written script was something of a wonder. I couldn't tell if it was on purpose or everyone just phoned it in. I felt the soundtrack ruined a lot as well.

An underrated film that hits home in exploring the power of perception and spontaneous panic, as well as the power of groupthink. It's a bit of a low key film, in many ways, but that actually plays to it's favor, as the events, as significant and startling as they are, play against a back drop that truly feels like life as it's actually lived. It stands as a strong juxtaposition to the over-the-top crisis thrillers that often fail to address the human condition.

I'm very confused with the ratings on here. I thought it was a absolute amazing movie. Night's 2nd best movie behind Signs imo !

Air-headed idea. It's ludicrous. There are a couple of good jolts at the beginning, but it devolves immediately, with truly inane dialogue, some spectacularly lousy acting, (and a mannequin/ zombie like performance from Zoey Deschanel) and while all the chaos is around them, it gets more and more ridiculous and dare I say stupid as it goes along. It's what the German's call a Ka-Ka Fest.

Good Little Movie IMO

M Night’s worst movie. It fails as an Disaster Thriller but it is an hilarious unintentional comedy

If the worst movie ever made were actually the best movie ever made then this would be the best movie ever made. The only good thing about it is that it eventually ends.

Haven't gotten far into watching the film to be both amazed at the gore but very disappointed at the lack of intellect - the classroom segment about 'bees disappearing without leaving bodies', like duhhh those bees were eaten! And not a single student nor the tutor got it right hahahhaha.

I watched this movie 4 times and absolutely love it. Very unique and terrifying storyline. I can't comprehend the terrible reviews .

I'd give it 4 stars

Top 10 movie of all time.
