A movie that i can say i actually liked other than the ending. If they would've settled for a different ending it would've been a solid 10 from me. Its an 8/10 from me

'The Midnight Meat Train' is possibly the definition of a competent and gruesome horror experience that leans more heavily on blood and guts than cerebral chills. Bradley Cooper stars as a photographer who is desperate to capture the gritty essence of the New York. His performance is solid, bringing his usual charm and likability to the role. However, the true standout is Vinnie Jones as the menacing and near-silent antagonist, Mahogany, who ends up stealing every scene he’s in. The film’s style of leaning on gruesome, over-the-top violence is both its strength and potential turnoff as there are plenty of scenes where the red stuff tends to fly further than reality may suggest. It's all good fun if you're looking for over the top gore, but the plot often relies on improbable coincidences and sheer luck to move forward. This lack of realism might frustrate viewers seeking a more grounded thriller. The ending is another polarizing element. Without giving too much away, it ventures into unexpected territory, which might not align with what had been building up previously. It’s a bold conclusion that ensures 'The Midnight Meat Train' lingers in the mind after the credits roll. But at the end of the day it's all great fun for horror fans who enjoy their scares served with a side of carnage. It’s not perfect, but as a fan of Vinnie Jones (and someone who had to 'fine' him when he came into the video rental store I worked in!) I can say he makes it worth a watch.

Movie was a waste of time, I only would watch if there is nothing else to do and boredom is killing you. Even then boring ending and boring movie.

Absolute mindless garbage with little story.

Ok for what it was. But holy crap that ending was fugged up. 3.5*

The film looked very nice most of the time but then there were these over-the-top sequences that felt so out-of-place and detracted from the seriousness of the movie. The sound design was amazing! It really did sound gorgeous. Great use of the surround sound and beautifully mixed. Possibly the best sound mix I have ever heard. The only other one that springs to mind was Eden Lake (2008) but that was less dynamic and creative than this film. It started off like a slasher movie but ended slightly differently. The problem was that the pacing was very uneven and the whole ending was a bit nonsensical - should have been more out there to make it more acceptable. It was an interesting fundamental idea though. This needed to be paced faster with more stuff regarding the ending back-story. It’s a bit uneven.

Absolutely horrible Huge Horror fan I am and this was ridiculously stupid there has to be somewhat of a realistic approach to what people will do in these situations yes it is a movie but give me an effing break stupidly written just dumb sorry but awful just awful

As a fan of the short story the midnight meat train in the book of blood volume 1 it's nice to see a faithful adaptation of the story. Despite it's bad CGI in places the midnight meat train is an epic film with extraordinary acting and is definitely one of my favourite films.

A grusome tale with a neo-noir flare. Characters who change into someone I didn't expect kept my interest. The ending I couldn't guess AND its sci fi bent both thrilled me. Great title, from my vegan perspective.

A particularly dumb movie that makes little, if any, sense. Visually ugly with ropey CGI, though there is the odd moment of flair and there might just be enough to satify the gorehounds. Partially redeemed by going all in on the ridiculousness of everything that came before towards the finish, it nevertheless ends on a tediously predictable note.

This is the most ridiculous pile of nonsense. What was Bradley Cooper thinking? So unpleasant. And with a stunningly poor understanding of physics and human anatomy.

I'll like any movie that effectively delivers on the promise of its title. The rating is probably a little high but that's because I was so relieved that the final twist wasn't "It was the lead character all along".

Was very suspenseful and keeps you on the edge of your seat, until the last 30 minutes where it takes a bizarre turn as if the writers got bored or forgot how good the beginning was

Weird and just fukn terrible

Started so well and then turned so deranged. The only movie that scrambled my brains worse than this in recent years was Platform. And Platform was uniformly crazy so I stopped before the end. This one seemed gory but logical - more or less - until suddenly it was like everything was tossed in the air and I found myself staring at the screen horrified and amazed and now it's over and my eyes and brain will never be the same. The ending was predictable if you just assume the movie will take the most unlikely end but there was no attempt to explain the motivation for the 'surprise" end. After Platform I don't watch any 'doubtful' movie without checking out the end. After this movie even a well known cast will mean nothing. Nothing! I will need to either have a positive review from a trusted personal friend or I'll have to check the ending on Wikipedia.

One of my all time favourite horror movies! Vinnie Jones was a perfect actor to play the killer Mahogany and all the acting is great and the gory special effects

Passed the time but would not recommend or watch again. I like horror films but this is totally bananas !!!! Yuk factor is high and could have been a decent film but the train is derailed figuratively. Disappointing .
