Man in the Chair Reviews
Regardless of what the critics have said, this movie has a lot of heart and is superbly acted. Meant for all of those who work in cinema.
I thought this was going to be about filmmaking, but most of that aspect was done through a short montage. Instead it's more about talented old people being mistreated and left in the dust.
the idea is very good ..the crew people we don't know .. I like plummer so much ..just the way the film been shooting isn't good
A great film for movie geeks like myself. for those who appreciate the old Hollywood. Plummer gives an oscar worthy performance. i was also impressed by M. Emmet Walsh.
06-28-10: I Was deeply touched by the Elderly People's situation I couldnt help myself but cry it was sooo sad.. nice movie
Good, original and touching story. The movie has some very good phrases and Christopher Plummer's acting is just fenomenal. Also it has some very, very good shots like the ones included in the trailer. I liked it.
If only director Michael Schoeder could have shot this in the style of so many of the famous films mentioned or shown in this, then he could have had a real gem. As it is he tries to be far too flashy and expressive and embarrases himself. Which is a real shame because the quieter, more intimate scenes really do have heart and the performances from Christopher Plummer, Michael Angarano and M. Emmet Walsh are very good. Good material unfortuneatly in the wrong hands.
A new "Cinema Paradiso".. Great Script, great dialogue, great performance specially from Christopher Plummer, and many many memorable quotes.
what a great movie about movie makers!! the performance of Plummer is... it blew my mind!! also the history is really fine but almost a little bit unrealistic because you're not gonna find an excellent crew in a Home for the Aged... but it was a great point the idea of reflect the problems and issues that the eldery have and how the society eliminate those whose are "useless".
it's not cinema paradisio but movie lovers ( hard core) will enjoy this. Christopher Plumber, RW and the young lead with the notable performances that carry the film.
A young delinquent gets the help of a bunch of retired film makers to help him make his student film, along the way both parties learning lessons about frindship, love and loss. The acting (Plummer and Walsh imparticular) is fantastic, and the film manages to sidestep cliches for most of its running time. A pity the director didnt have faith in his story, as he films most of it as though it were an M온라인카지노추천 music video.
