Well worth watching. A more interesting than usual 'Vampire World' with very impressive sets and landscapes. Paul Bettany is dark and brooding, quite the change from some of the movies I've seen him in. Big supporting cast inc Christopher Plummer. I Watched this on Sony One Action hits via Samsung plus 온라인카지노추천 in the UK, so it just shows you don't need to pay to see decent movies.

A comic adaptation no one really asked for nor wanted, the titular Priest is one of the only interesting parts of the film, and even then, he gets the short end of the stick a lot. Paul Bettany and Karl Urban are certainly the highlights of the film, but the story seems to be an underwhelming vessel to try and make the action scenes work. The only reason this film exists, I feel, is to show Paul Bettany kill a whole bunch of vampires and fight Karl Urban. Nothing else to really say, but this was just a ridiculous film.

As an action movie, it's entertaining, though not memorable. (I would have liked a sequel to see the war and the possibilities of the queen...) Part of the criticism stems from a mix of it not being faithful to the source material (the Korean comic Priest) and its use of Christianity/Bible/etc. in a story about fascism/idiocracy. And more

I'm aware that there is a comic, but I never read it. This movie is not the worst thing I've seen, but it's pretty bad. I would say a 4.5/10. The universe seems really interesting, that's about it, there was a lot of potential. However, the execution is pretty meh with some bad moments. Acting is ok, but dialogue has some really bad moments. Story is something predictable, but it's not well executed. Effects are pretty decent, specially for the time (2011). Don't waste your time. If you really want, sure, go for it, but I told you so.

Very underrated movie with awesome effects. If you're looking for something a little bit different, you can't go wrong with this.

One of my favorite movies from when I was younger. I was but a young man obsessed with Karl Urban, so I decided to try this movie. I loved it and have loved it ever since. I rewatch this movie about once a year. The world is interesting. Karl Urban is badass in this movie and the rest of the cast does at a decent job. Now, in 2024, I've decided to watch it again and I am still loving it... I really don't get the low scores from both critics and audiences.

If you enjoy a buffet if overdone tropes peppered with every bad one-liner ever written - this whatever-it-is — is for you! Priest is a star studded schizophrenic flop! It's dystopian, it's maybe an alternate earth, it's a half-assed western, but also a king- fu commercial for a futuristic Catholic police state. The characters are flatter than the state of Arizona; and yet, decorated with decent cinematography, CGI, and sound design. What a stellar example of how bad writing ruins everything!

Its like a cheap rip off of Marvel's Blade.

It's a good motion picture, Priest, 2011...directed by Scott Stewart...with a little bit on a Korean comic with the same name by Hyung Min-woo...the castings is fairly well done, such as a New Zealand actor, Karl Urban and Maggie Q also with the villain, Christopher Plummer...Of course, the title character, a English, Paul Bettany takes all my credits for 2nd watching...

I've watched this 3 or 4 times. Really enjoyed it. Simple premise, good creature feature, great actors. Lots of plot holes, but so good.

It might look cool but the script is incompetent. The actors are stranded with nothing to do.

IF YOU LIKED LEGION, you'll like this. Same star and director. I did like Legion. This has many more committed contributions in acting, directing and VFX (Phil Tippet) than the average low-ball B-movie fantasy. How many B movies have Paul, Karl Urban, Maggie Q and Christopher Plummer in them? VFX by a VFX supervisor who worked on Blade Runner and Iron Man and John Wick 4? Where this and various Underworld-like B movies go off track is TONE. The tone is merely bombastic. NOBODY LEARNS ANYTHING. So no character arcs at all. This is often a problem working from comic book stories written for impact; they neglect any insight.

Expected the worst from critic reviews but it was an enjoyable watch. It's not citizen Kane but nothing like as bad as you might read
