This movie deserves more love. I laugh non stop every time I watch it

A classic! Bill + Woody? Shhhheeeyat. Seen it 50 times and still love it

A wholesome classic, full of hilarious moments. There’s lore, there’s Bill Murray, Amish and a hook for a hand, what’s not to like? This is an absolutely awesome comedy, they don’t make them like this anymore!

I think this film is good because it is not only a simple story and very funny, but it has some heartfelt moments. I have always found this movie to be sorta inspirational. It is ultimately a story about redemption and accepting responsibility for one's own actions--and, of course, you get some laughs along the way.

This movie is not something absolutely brilliant, but does a decent job keeping you interested. The story evolves sufficiently, the characters are interesting enough, actors are good, the hottie is hot, and there are some good laughs. I mean, what else do you expect from a comedy? I expected way worse after reading some reviews, and I was pleasantly surprised.

I ended up enjoying this and also wanting to go out and bowl myself! While some of the humor is subtle and quick, it really does work. Everyone in the film did great with their roles and performed wonderfully (Bill Murray, Randy Quaid, Woody Harrelson, and Vanessa Angel). This film may have nothing on the Big Lebowski (one of my all time favorite comedies that also had bowling in it) but it still largely felt original and clever. The story took unexpected turns and twists, especially at the end. Movies like this aren't made anymore and maybe they shouldn't be, they should be cherished for what/when they are!

This movie is one of those comedies that has some funny memorable scenes that stick with you, Bill Murray, Woody Harrelson, and Randy Quaid play their characters to perfections. If you like quirky comedy it’s definitely worth watching. Other movies I’d compare this to are Anchorman and Tropic Thunder.

Kingpin is a classic and does not get the praise that it deserves. Is it a bit edgy? Yes, but that's what makes it so great. it's a comedy about the armature and professional bowling scene and it does have some, somewhat dark moments but so does life. Great movie would highly recommend it.

One of the Farrelly brothers' best comedies, full of wonderfully bizarre gags and hilarious performances. Despite not writing the original screenplay you can easily see how they morphed it into something that bares all their hallmarks (crude and occasionally mean spirited humor that's offset by a sincere demand for the audience to love the characters).

Silly, sophomoric and juvenile and funny as hell!

Pretty funny movie...kinda reminded me of dodgeball.

You critics are dumb as hell! This movie is brilliant and had a good story. Solid , stupid and ridiculous of course, but that was the point.

A movie that falls flat with a lot of the jokes, but makes up for it with some memorable characters.

This movie is sadly under-rated. It's great adult comedy. Worth another view.

Brilliant and outrageously funny.

In Kingpin, Roy Munson (Woody Harrelson), a former bowling champion well past his prime, accompanies Amish bowling savant Ishmael (Randy Quaid) on a cross country trip to Reno, Nevada to compete in a million-dollar tournament that will potentially solve both of their financial woes. Peter and Bobby Farrelly give you what you pretty much expect from the Farrelly brothers – plenty of laughs, irreverent characters, and, despite the gross out elements, a feel-good vibe. Running almost two hours, it could probably do without the seemingly endless string of music montages and a bunch of jokes that don't even come close to working, but it's worth watching for the performances of Harrelson and Bill Murray as Munson's arrogant nemesis, as well as a handful of great gags. Bull milk, anyone?

Kingpin was a great movie filled with dark and light comedy and quite a few jokes about the Amish people. It isn't that exciting although it has a few edge-of-your-seat moments. Throughout the entire movie, there are humorous jokes and bloopers as well as a couple of plot twists along the way. Overall the acting wasn't the best but to be fair it is an older movie and therefore was a peak performance at the time of its release. The resolution of the conflict was disappointing at first but also heartwarming in the very end. Overall the movie was a solid 3.5 stars.
