Driven Reviews
It flaws were intentional and mocks the critics with out them knowing the films greatness, F1 the Brad Pitt film sees what it was doing back then and took it as partial inspiration. The joke on the critics? Gamers follow the action seamlessly with visual acuity and appreciate and recognize the turns in action and story where the average critic Cannot. an F1 film built for the Eyes trained like F1 racers.
Oft-times charismatic humor is a rare, pleasant effect, only acknowledged wakefully in bits, amidst how messily flawed and dull it sloppily ignites under utter indecisive coordination, inclusively between specious CGI and unheard script. (C-)
It was unbelievably generic, felt very dull, had some lazy writing, and had nothing to keep me entertained. I literally looked at my phone multiple times for 5 minutes and went back to the film seemingly not missing a thing. Even the graphics are super choppy and very unrealistic.
Nice talent assembled, but sadly without a script or direction. Really poorly done.
With a bad script, but also with fantastic action scenes, and a chase with Indy Cars in the streets that makes this a watchable movie, despite the poorly worked script.
A mostly forgotten little car film. Well it had a budget of almost 100 Million so it wasn't that small. Driven does produce some good car scenes however there is very little in the way of characters or much else. I may also add, this film is like the most 2000s movie ever. I SWEAR!
It's not a bad movie, it's ok.
Definitely not as bad as people say it is. I did enjoy seeing the characters facing the pressure of fame, the drive to win, and what it means to be a race car driver.
This might be one of the cheesiest movies I've ever watched. it being a racing movie, makes that even more unfortunate.
The camera and displaying of the racing (except the effects of the crashes) were very good and exciting. Good acting staff as well.
I enjoyed this movie. I do think the soundtrack is superior than other films. Rush is the better film in my opinion. This is not Sly's best film, but it's for sure not the worst. This is not the worst movie in the world nor the best. The CGI was pretty bad. But I also recommend it for how bad it is. It's a good laugh and at least they tried with this movie.
This auto racing movie was just ok. Sylvester Stallone, Burt Reynolds, and the rest of the cast did a decent job in this movie. The plot to the movie was kind of dull and it wasn't very entertaining either. There was one intense crash scene in the movie which was shocking, but overall it wasn't as great as I thought it would be. I wouldn't recommend this movie. Don't waste your time.
The dialogue was corny at times (particularly Burt's lines) but at least the music was alright, and the actual races and details of the open-wheel racing were interesting to watch as a person who's never seen the sport. I liked that Leonard had a fairly meaty role in this as I liked him a lot in House. However, the multiple love subplots were convoluted, Stallone's role as a love guru was idiotic and some of the less famous actors looked too similar to each other. It seemed obvious that the prototype car heist wouldn't have worked, not least of all because their lack of helmets or windshields at 195mph would mess their eyeballs up. The weird blurry vision segments didn't seem like an ideal way to portray that they were focusing or whatever it was supposed to do. The entire onus for the main character to win the race seemed a little loose, but I thought Stallone actually did a pretty good job.
CGI that wouldn't pass the test in a video game in it's era, (let alone now), over the top stunts, horrid acting, script & direction, & stylistically a total piece of crap. It's too bad this movie didn't blow it's engine before it even started.
This "film", a method of torture to be precise, is an insult to motor sports, an insult to motion pictures, an insult to everyone's intelligence and an insult to society. bad script, bad cinematography, bad editing, bad CG, bad music, bad everything. No research was done on F1 Racing, a barrage of stupidly wrong factual errors. This rubbish should be erased from human history.
Love this movie! Great blend of movie meets racing...really great music as well.. worth spending a few hours... our family has watched many times...and will again:)????
This isn't even remotely as good as Rush but I enjoyed the movie. I didn't find it predictable and it was actually a feel good kind of movie about ultimately working together and having fun doing what you love.
It wasn't bad but wasn't great. The biggest reason for being drawn to this film is simply because of it's CART (Now IndyCar) background and fans of the sport are more biased towards liking it.
