Carrie Reviews

Mar 5, 2025

this is a 온라인카지노추천 movie was okay I liked how they added some scenes from the novel that weren't in all the other adaptations but the ending I did not like but you do have to remember it was to set up a 온라인카지노추천 series but if you just watch it and Skip like the ending I think it's a pretty good.

Honestly it was pretty good. Of the the original, sequel, and two remakes I think this one is my favorite. It starts off very cheesy and cliche, and has budget CGI effects but it's pretty easy to get into. You understand the characters, what's old and what's new, and you can tell they put alot of effort into this one. It's not just a one to one remake of the original, it dives more into Carrie's abilities as well showing that not everyone involved is heartless. The prom is a genuine feel good moment until the inevitable prank and there's a nice twist to the events that follow. Definitely give it a watch if early 2000's tv vibes isn't a deal breaker for you.

I was pleasantly surprised by this adaption. While it's true that making a remake was unnecessary, remember, just like the 2013 reboot, at that time 2002 was considered modern so at the time it felt like they were making a remake that would be considered very modern for a long time. For example, Carrie learns about telekinesis on a computer. The cast are all very talented actors, with particular praise earned by Angela Bettis as Carrie and Patricia Clarkson as Margaret. Angela's acting is simply superb. Arguably better than Sissy Spacek. While the 1976 Carrie White is sheltered and doesn't understand social politics, here Carrie White is more mature and socially aware, she knows when she's being made fun of and her emotions are brought out incredibly well. In the 1976 version, Piper Laurie gave quite an over-the-top portrayal of Margaret, doing very well with the abusive parent arc and definitely doing well, Here, Margaret is still abusive and overly strict but calm and level-headed and shows some genuine love for her daughter. Piper Laurie was great, and so was Patricia Clarkson. The special effects aren't even that bad, just very obvious. This film had a very cheap production. The film is also much more faithful to the book than the 1976 version. It has a bad reputation but honestly, Carrie 2002 is not bad!

Who thought it was a good idea to remake an absolute masterpiece, i.e., the 1976 original? Did Stephen King sign off on this? If so, for shame! And how did they get Patricia Clarkson to buy into it? Skip this one and watch the original.

A really dumb and boring movie that people somehow praise over the 2013 film, and even sometimes the 1976 one in certain cases. This one is nowhere near those great movies! If Mockbuster company "The Asylum" made a Carrie movie, this is mostly what it would be like. The only characters with any characteristics are Carrie, Sue, and Chris. That's it. Carrie's mom isn't the wacko religious mom she was in the 1976 film and the 2013 film. She's way too collected and calm for someone who is normally implied to be psychotic and extreme in religion. Chris Hargensen is more of just a mean girl rather than a bully, so she's basically way more likable than she should be. Sue Snell really doesn't have much character development. She's basically just mean girl turned nice girl. The ending is also pretty bad, it's so bad that it makes Carrie look less of a sympathetic character. In fact, you really can't sympathize with her at all in this movie. They portray her as a bumbling idiot who has silly seizures, looks 40, and has somewhat of a comedic tone to her. And it's embarrassing. It's embarrassing to the book, it's embarrassing to the 1976 movie, and it's embarrassing to Carrie White herself. I'm 100% sure that if Carrie saw this film, she'd be in tears because she'd think that they're insulting her. The cinematography is really trashy even for a low-budget 온라인카지노추천 movie. Poorly done camera angles, boring lighting, and the quality is just all over the place. The special effects are decent, so I guess that's a little bit of a positive. There are also many inconsistencies that make this film harder to watch. For example, Carrie creating missiles for some reason. Like what would she ever use those missiles for? They also go way too extreme with the editing during the prom scene. Carries pupils grow large, random slow motion here and there, random filters being added, etc. It's like they just couldn't go the more simplistic route and make it more atmospheric and cooler looking. I will say the scenes where Sue is being questioned by the police are pretty well done and well acted but that's kind of it to be honest. There are also some really cheesy characters. Norma is an example. She's your typical nerdy, hyper character and she does get annoying after a while. This movie gets a pathetic 0.4 out of 10. Good day!

A little drawn out, love stephen king's legacy in movies. Will always watch when you throw him in the mix.

it's as if they told the actors to watch the original and then add extra drama, eyerolls and really bad sarcasm. They even changed the ending but it didn't help...

It's just the same as 1976 film but, more graphic. They also make some changes where Carrie destroys the town with her powers and and her mother by stopping her heart. It's just a cash grab movie.

This adapation delivers in strange, good ways. It adds more from the book, has a good prom attack scene, but also has the strangest visual effects. The performance of Angela Bettis is really good and very human, you can feel her in this. The ending well that's a suprise! So it's a rather odd but decent adapation.

That was about stupid. Waste of time. The one bright spot is the lady teacher. Smoking hot lol first one 1002 times better. But that's about NBC style.

I actually really liked Angela Bettis and Patricia Clarkson in this show, and it's definitely the most faithful adaptation of Carrie.

Clarkson is miscast but everyone else is great and it is different enough to work.

Honestly this movie was very corny and not funny to me then the orignal

This film definitely isn't the best, but it's not bad. I'm not a fan of the cgi, the acting wasn't great, and the plot is interesting. This movie is very similar to the book, I like Carrie in this film a lot, and I wish the story continued. Not a bad remake. 50%

If you ever wondered what Carrie would feel like as a trashy lifetime movie, look no further

Apr 28, 2020

The cast looks way too old for the parts they are playing! I couldn't stop thinking about it!

Apr 13, 2020
