The Three Stooges Reviews
Even with their tremendous efforts, this still felt like a really good Elvis impersonator. They look like Elvis. They sound like Elvis. They shake like Elvis. But they aren’t Elvis.

If this weren't a movie, the three stars would certainly make a striking Vegas show.

Should you see it? Why soitenly!

The Three Stooges does not suck. It's not great but it is amusing, oddly inoffensive-and sweet, something the original never tried to be.

There are plenty of laughs to be had as well... The three leads should be commended as well. They perfectly capture the dopey innocence of the characters with some rather impressive mimicry of the iconic characters.

You can't replicate a comedy classic.

The casting of the trio is spot on and the supporting cast is strong, as well. I laughed out loud on several occasions.

Brings with it a welcome and surprising level of warmth, but is sadly too thronged and weak-minded to affirm its worth.

The Three Stooges is like being nyuck-ed to death.

The brutish schtick got old a long time ago.

When the movie works, it can derive some raucous laughter...

It's innocent and silly and brainless and funny. This is not a dumb comedy done smartly; this is a dumb comedy done dumbly.
| Original Score: B | Jun 23, 2013
Short, silly and charmingly harmless, it's likely only the Stooges aficionados will find a whole lot to love.

Stooges will resonate strongly or not at all, depending on the viewer. But a Jersey Shore experience is about where the film falls short of honorable intentions.

The Farrelly brothers return to the vacuously silly style of Dumb and Dumber for this gently idiotic comedy
| Original Score: 2.5/5 | Sep 4, 2012
It's absurd, it's mindless, it's infantine but it's also bizarrely charming.
| Original Score: C+ | Sep 4, 2012
Resembles a scenario knocked up one afternoon for the Marx brothers and rejected the following day.

The architects behind There's Something About Mary and Kingpin make merry with the poking and thumping, but are ultimately far too fond of their comic heroes to make them or us truly squirm.
| Original Score: 3/5 | Aug 24, 2012
About as funny as a poke in the eye.

Slapstick, slapstick and even more slapstick. Think of it as a Junior Jackass.
