The movie is about the 1st job of the new French elit intervention team (Gign) in a colonialist context. Makes the public understand the time-line and first tactics in an hostage situation. It's about the reality of the job, not an Hollywood action movie. I'm sad "Hollywood" critics can't understand that. Good movie.

Captivating. Held my interest. Tense, suspenseful, and yet has enough dialogue to establish characters. Could have given more time to the grievances of the kidnappers. If it was true that the teacher voluntarily went to be with the children, she should have received a medal for her bravery. Motivates me to do research to see what was true and what was not.

I was on the edge of my seat, didn't want to google the story until after watching the film so not to spoil it and I am glad I did. Gripping story, I don't think it could've ended better given the circumstances, but of course much of it was dramatised as expected - still, I thought it was a great film.

Good movie, well done and suspenseful. Score from professional reviewers is very low but has might have to do with political correctness as this played in a former colony of France. Many countries learned from terrorist situations like this, giving birth to teams like GIGN and GSG9.
