One of the best photographed movies ever! The people who wonder why Julianne Moore took this role prove why she is a major star and they just type words. 4% approval rate among the professionals. I wish I had the same level of failure.

We really enjoyed this movie!!!!! The jump scares were timed perfectly to surprise us - when we were not ready. It’s was super creepy and kept us questioning the plot often. In a good way! My teens and I voted it one of our fav scary movies we’ve seen in a long time. Surprised by the low rating.

It was a decent movie. Definitely, held my attention. It was a little confusing. The plot made sense and fell into place. For me,.the ending kind of ruined it. I didn't expect the twists so it kept me on the edge of my seat in suspense. The little sister couldn't redeem herself. She was rude to her brother the entire time. So, the ending when she played a needy, lovable little sister,.it frustrated me. The situation with the parents blew my mind as I didn't expect nothing that had taken place. I thought the main actor lost his mind but movies as this keeps you thinking you're losing your mind.

Aunque no se trata de una película de terror como tal, por más que tiene el elemento de horror sobrenatural, Shelter es un thriller muy fascinante de ver. Su trama es una historia de intriga y misterio que involucra el choque entre la ciencia y la fe cuando nuestra querida Julianne Moore recurre a la psicología para tratar de descifrar el enigma de su misterioso paciente que parece sufrir de un desorden de personalidad, pero va mucho más allá de eso. La cuestión sobre la fe y la ciencia se vuelve un punto muy vital para la trama. Lo que plantea es que existen cosas que por más que se trate de encontrar una explicación lógica a lo inexplicable, claramente hay algo mucho más allá que el ser humano es incapaz de comprender y parece que solo la fe es la respuesta. La película se torna incluso más desalmada cuando muchas de las víctimas son personas que han abandonado su fe. Llega incluso a ser chocante cuando toma la religión cristiana y la brujería colocándolas en un plano similar por muy opuestas que sean. Aun así, ambas comparten la aceptación por la existencia de algo más allá de nuestra comprensión. Las religiones y creencias comparten esa misma hipótesis y lo que las diferencia bastante son la diferente percepción que cada una tiene sobre una única verdad. Se puede concluir que al final Shelter es un buen thriller intrigante que ha sido tratado injustamente, aunque la película genera una pregunta que no es del todo respondida. Mi calificación final para esta película es un 8/10.

This movie was absolutely amazing. It is one of those mind f**k movies that has you kicking your feet and wiggling your toes, talking to the T.V. hahaha. The actors did a great job. It is a very interesting story!

A mockery to faith-based healers that was woefully unnecessary. The zeitgeist of NYC at the time of this movie was faith healing because our U.S. healthcare system was already at a new low of failing its citizens.

The music take you out of the minimum atmosphere that the movie creates. Popcorny movie.

I love it. One my favorite go to movies for when I`m in the mood for something creepy , and the storyline just pulls me right in. Plus, it doesn`t hurt that the all so hansom Jonathan Rhys Meyers stars in it. He`s one my favorite Irish actors.

The writing and acting by Julianne Moore was sub par there were to many things that made no sense and i am sorry i am a fan of Julianne's but her acting in this one was poor. There is a good story here if they were to remake this with a sequel the casting would be paramount and with the right writer you would have a sequel way better than the original

I'm surprised to see so many bad reviews of this movie, I actually thought this was one good horror/suspense movie. The movie wasn't predictable and it wasn't the typical Hollywood movie, for the most part, some creepy scenes that does creep you out and stay with you until the end of the movie, overall the ending and the characters in the movie were great. So for this being a great good solid Indie movie, I give " 6 Souls" a C.

Pretty bad....it started off pretty good, but the ending was horrible.

GREAT psych thriller that doesn't involve gory, cut-your-guts-out scenes. Three of us watched it, we all had moments of sitting on the edge, jumping in our seats, scratching our heads at what could be happening and blocking our eyes. LOVED the fact that finally one can be spooked without gobs and gobs of blood and guts being thrown at you. I definitely recommend this movie.

If you liked "Identity", "Fallen", and "The Nineth Gate" you will like this supernatural thriller with great acting from Jonathan Rhys Meyers and Julianne Moore.

Awesome film. Was gripped the entire time and the acting quality was fantastic.

Impossible to follow or figure out. A muddled mess that cannot make up its mind as to what it is. The second act is very slow and the film goes completely off the rails. Really bad.

I'm not sure why they would make such a pathetic movie! There is absolutely no believable element in this film, with a very horrible ending. Waste of time!

Started with a psychological twist where a therapist (Julianne Moore) was given a case on a man who seems to have multiple personalities. Slowly finds out that each personality describes different memories of their lives, which begins the thriller tale uncovering that each personality details their lives down to specific details only they would know. Their names are of those who have died, losing their faith and each one losing their faith in God and taken by the Devil. This story had great potential and is amazing when watching with an open mind, but the cast was the great success of this movie for each one did an amazing job. Despite most ratings, I sincerely encourage people to watch this movie and see for yourselves if you liked it or not.
